Anytime Fitness Membership

So realized that my FF membership expires next week and it renews at a higher price. Wanting to move to anytime fitness and wondering what the cheapest way of getting a membership there is.
Missed out on the 1 day sale there yesterday. I see people advertising on gumtree memberships however these transfers don't let you work out at your own gym for 1 month which is a killer for me. Anyone know any ways of finding a better deal before i sign up?

Cheers

    • +1 for AIA vitality. cheaper Anytime fitness membership rates, quarterly cash backs, weekly $5 vouchers if you hit your target and larger vouchers when you hit certain milestones. Only downside is that they removed JB hifi vouchers..

Use the 7 days free trial in AF first. Then after it expires, don't sign up straight away. They will definitely approach you and ask you to join them, tell them you're not happy with the pricing and i'm sure they will definitely offer your some discounts/extra.

Depends on which franchise you are about to sign up with, AF usually will try to get you to sign up with them, hence they might be able to give you a discount, or even better in some cases, they waive your joining fee - just ask them you missed the deal and you are really keen to join AF but joining fee is a bummer - pretty sure they will waive it for you, just because they can.

    • Yep. That fee is pretty much there to be waived. There will be an additional fee for the entry fob that is about $60 which they won't waive.

  • Joined last week now $90 fob but did not pay any joining fees etc. Weekly fee $12.95 this was at a new AF gym..However i made enquiries at another AF gym about 18months ago and ever since then they have been sending me SMS's every month offering free membership.

  • Made one phone call to an AnyTime Fitness, and found myself constantly receiving marketing SMS’s from them. Ignored them at first, but they became so frequent that I’d reply with the old “STOP” message as requested, only to have more marketing coming from different numbers. Toxic.

  • I just signed up myself through Gumtree. Found someone who wanted to transfer and arranged it all through the phone. If you go through the day the staff at other gyms should let you in anyways. Alternatively stand at the door and waited for someone to leave. Tell them there's a problem with your fob or the system isn't working or something.
