  • You can also buy giftcards from cardlimbo, they have 15%to 16%off for EBGAMES giftcard over 200, 10%off for 100 face value. The giftcards take 3 to 4 days to arrive in Melbourne area.

Title is a bit missleading, i thought you meant NFS 2 was 48$

    • I tried, however, there is a words liMit

  • Didnt see it that price in Brisbane. Can you upload receipt

    • I'll do it soon

Why not buy the 250GB version for less ($399)? http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/43586

    • Is there any different beside the capacity

      • +1

well yea, the capacity and the difference between the price. Why wouldnt you pay less and get more?

        • because this is a new verison i do believe

        • 250gb is old model. Different cpu/gpu.

        • +2

I would just go soley on price … the only difference is a slight decrease in power consumption. When they say its a differenct CPU, its just smaller …
So yeah I would go the 250gb .. U will easily use the disk space, with free demos, most the games dump a heap of data on the drive and also if u get Play TV 250gig will be gone quick as…

        • And heat, less power usage equals less heat. Heat causes the cpu to come away from the mobo by deteriorating the solder. This is the primary cause of YLoD. I'm not scare mongering, I'm just giving the facts. I have the older model slim and its fine. Just keep it dust free as possible and well ventilated.

  • yeah 160gb is a bit more updated. you wont even use the 160gb anyway. and if you some how do, just buy a 1tb HDD.. they arent expensive.

the 250gb version that EB are selling for $399 has the same gen hardware as the 160gb

why not the new ps3 320GB version from ebay for $439 and it's the 1 year local store warranty. So not a bad deal.

    • i wouldnt be interested in a ps3 that ships from hong kong from ebay unless it was an offer too good to refuse, $439 isnt good enough

  • theres only about 5 stores that have the $399 ones left and they are hours away from me.. so i guess ill be trading some games if i dont get the big W special

  • Not much of a bargain, IMO.

    • -3

      and whats your opinion?

      • +4

That it's not much of a bargain, Sparky.

        • Well tinkerbell, since you want to be that way, I'll explain it to you. I was just curious to see if you could engage in a mature conversation long enough to explain why you vote negative so often without providing an alternative, links or somekind of contribution other than the insightful words you grace us with! Ironic you are yet to submit a deal isn't it?

  • +3

I cant see why this is a bargain

  • isn't it still $499 + store credit?
i don't think they let you have it for $409 just by saying you don't want the bundled games.

    • +1

My yokel store would knock it off the price like OP said. That being said I think this is a bog standard 'deal' here. Much better ones to be found if you look.

  • +1

ones for under 400 at big W, only 100 available

    • i said for those who cant wait… bigw's sale is on next week and it will take time to deliverty to your door…

  • It might be cheap or discounted, but it is still so expensive compared to other consoles.
You got the Wii at $199, the x360 at $200-$250…

This is till so expensive at $400 plus…
(Especially when the console has no online haha)

You can get a tennis ball for around 50c but that can't play Uncharted series, GT5, KillZone series, blurays etc either.
