The guidelines can change as needs change. We tried self regulation and its being abused by some, so we have made some modifications.

While someone not following them won't get a mod reaction, someone continually ignoring the guidelines will find they lose their votes. And further than that they will lose days on the system.

You reckon any of the negs on this post follow those guidelines?

You've nailed it. What a ridiculous website. I used to buy heaps of things from cotd - But now their shipping times are ridiculous. I bought some sunglasses almost a month ago and it's still processing. I buy stuff from overseas that gets here quicker then that. It's pathetic. The worst thing is that they preface their sale by stating:

"We are currently experiencing extremely high volume of orders and anticipate that dispatch will be delayed by 10 business days. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused"

Delayed by ten days? I didn't realize their normal shipping times bordered on 4 weeks. Terrible website. Used to be good - now horribly underserviced

Who would pay $649 for a 22" TV?

    • People who get sucked in by LED marketing(nothing but glorified LCD).

    Not Tru HD - 1366 x 768 Resolution

    • +2

Yes it is HD, I believe 'TruHD' refers to audio anyway. This will still do 720p, you WOULD NEVER notice the difference between 720p and 1080p watching 1080p source on a 22 inch panel anyway.

      • More importantly, if you're going to use this as a TV and sit on your couch 2 or more metres from it, it could be "low" definition and you'd really never know.

    • Not Full HD

22 inch is very small especially for a tv

this is the model you got for free end of last year with the samsung 3d promotion (4x 3d glasses, 3d movies and the 22 inch tv)

I got one then, its below average for a tv and it just sits back in its box in the garage

It was an incredibly dissapointing free tv, for $329 I would punch myself in the balls every time i watched it.

    • "I would punch myself in the balls every time i watched it."

      Lol/ :P

    • hahahaha

  • +3

cotd has really dropped the ball. They used to be ok years ago, now it's a mess.
They sell something and when they don't have stock they don't tell you and you are left waiting over a month and check on your account only to find its still processing.
Other stores I've used let you know when its out of stock and offer you a choice to wait, get an alternative or get a refund straight away.

    • Well if they keep it up there won't be a need to post COTD "deals" as they will be out of business :D

      …heres hoping

    • Biggest problem for me is they're just not that big of a "catch". You can almost always find a decent seller on eBay with a cheaper price for exactly the same item (plus they ship faster and are available for more than one day).

      • Agreed!! In the last 2 or so years, internet sales have gone through the roof and competition is very fierce. These so called 'bargain' sites seem to be struggling in a forever strengthening buyers market.

    COTD gets my ….. minus

I bought a 24" LED Hisense from Clive Peeters for $399 that has built in Media Player that supports AVI, MKV, MP4 h.264 formats from USB, much better deal.

  • These were given as a bonus reward when purchasing selected tv recently. There was millions on ebay for 220-250.
