So roughly $12 shipped to any city except Melbourne? That's more expensive than ebay (if it's free shipping).

      Just move to Melbourne.

    Lol $3.49 here after a 10-second search https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Universal-Motorcycle-Bike-Bicycl…

    $4.65 shipped locally https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Motorcycle-Bicycle-MTB-Bike-Hand…

    Didn't bother searching further.

    • Both of those are shipped from outside of Australia, have a look at the user registration country ;)

Does not look secure enough to hold and expensive glass-screened device on a bicycle.
It is going to shake like mad too.

Maybe a motorbike, if you are brave. But then if you ride a motorbike, you relish living dangerously :-)

    • I wouldn't recommend Mountain biking with this mount, city commuting on the other hand, all good.

  • if you are looking at your phone when riding,
it could an accident waiting to happen

Well it could be for navigation, or fitness app tracking to be fair. Not that I would use it.

      • Exactly, it's for use with something like strava that will display your speed, moving time, elevation etc. Like the speedometer of a car. Would have to not be a big fan of your phone to use this.

No more dangerous than any GPS navigation and looking at motorcycle speedo.

Obviously reading and watching movies would be stupid.

I have this mount. I wouldn't trust my broken 15 year old ipod on it.

    • I use something similar on my pushie, it works very well. Wouldn't use it with an expensive phone but my mighty Nokia 1 copes no probs.

  • If shipping was free, maybe…

  • any decent recs then? from user experience that would be better than this?

Stupid idea, it would last 5 minutes on your bike. about 4 minutes longer than your phone.

  • I looked for something like this for ages as I wanted to use it as a phone holder on a pram as the pram phone holders wouldn't turn sideways into landscape mode. This should also be advertised as a pram phone holder !

    • That's a great suggestion! I'm going to do that :)
