Was going to pull the trigger but then found that all traces of this model have been removed from the DeWalt Australia website. Not sold in the US as far as I can see.

My concern is that if the proprietary blades are no longer available in 6-12 months time, there will be a very piece of black and yellow junk sitting in my shed.

Doesn't appear to be like a reciprocating saw that has plenty of 3rd party blade options. Happy to be corrected as I think this would be great for effortless garden pruning!

      Bunnings have this Replacement Blade

I saw that but given the deletion of the device from DeWalt, there may be only a limited time whilst these blades are stocked through Bunnings.

Just bought one might stock up on a few blades seems like a great deal and I’ve already bought into the 54v range

      • That's the wood version. There is a universal one as well. It looks like it's a special order so they might take a while before you get them. HERE

        • I don't know if it's universal or just clay blocks

Bugger it. Why not? Thanks OP.

Just realised the picture on Sydney Tools is the wrong model. Is too long for the 295mm blade! In the UK they sell a longer blade model. The Oz one is shorter/stubbier but that may be a good thing for some as it's less cumbersome.

    • Here are all the specials that use BTW Code

      • I'm not convinced that's everything as the alligator saw isn't shown in your search.

  • Doesnt work. Looking and it comes up as 449, no discount for the code.

  • If anyone got a spare let me know :) I'm already invested into the 54v platform and would love one.

  • The description for this mentions: "hollow clay blocks, aerated concrete, timber and insulation materials".

But would something like this be any good for cutting down small trees in the garden (especially dead ones)? Or would the sap in the wood screw up the thing?

Can confirm it can chop up wood including hard wood like butter
