      it's common knowledge

      • OP doesnt know

        • +3

i admit, i did not know this :P

  • Crocs have always been made in Italy and Mexico up until the end of 2018.

These are made in China, so don't be surprised if the quality has dropped.

    • Such can be said for iPhone and many big brands, including shoes of all sorts

    • +1

What does that have to do with the price?

      • I'm referring to the pic the OP linked to.

    • These are made in China, so don't be surprised if the quality has dropped

How do you know which stock is being cleared?

      • +5

It is clearly printed on the tag in the photo.

        • The question was for JV.

          • +5

@RSmith: The answer is the same

    • Did you vote up ?
You know your comment carries weight.

    • Most high quality stuff is made in China these days.

        What croc

  • +5

Thanks OP. Cheap way to get divorce proceedings initiated by the other party. I’m guessing most judges probably wear these, so they won’t relate to the spouse’s argument that “I had to end it because of the Crocs”.

    • Tell her to hit the gym, just because we're married is no excuse to run to lard.

        Username checks out.

Finally at a price for what its worth….

Costco membership required to purchase these? If so no deal.

I need about 4 of these but membership breaks the deal for me.

Mod: Removed request for sales. Use classifieds.

    • You can always get the membership refunded if you don’t plan on shopping there again, there is an exclusion period though before you can sign up again.

      • What's the exclusion period..can I refund online or does it have to be in person

        • You have to get the membership refunded in person. I’m not sure about the exclusion period, other Ozbargainers in the past have said anywhere from 3 months to 1 year. Others may have better info.

Great to piss off your wife/partner that hates them

I love myself too much to piss them off this way,

  • Used crocs for 4 years to wear at home. Best thing ever for the feet. Very comfortable. Cannot compare to the kmart brand stuff. Looks ugly though.

    • +1

Same. I use them indoors too. The best thing about these is that you can't ever stub your toes. I've been stubbed-toe free for years.

  • Are crocs really that comfortable? I cant imagine that much plastic feeling comfortable on my feet. Or is it more of a fashion statement thing?

    • +2

Definitely a fashion statement with these ones

      • +6

And that statement is I have zero fashion sense or I enjoy being celibate.

        • +1

What should I pair with these to say I have given up on fashion and hence life?

          • @Scrooge McDuck: The easiest route would be to stop washing your clothes, grease stains really set the style. Avoid workwear though as those without "nous" could assume you've been working on a car or you're a tradie despite the footwear.
Not clothes, but to really add to the ensemble avoid eye contact when in public and don't smile at anyone.

          • +1

@Scrooge McDuck: A true blue southern cross tattoo

    • It doesn't feel like plastic. Kind of like soft foam.

    • Yes, even the non genuine one, i wear the Aldi ones perhaps 95% of the whole year, just not at parties, weddings and funerals i sadly wear shoes…

  • I have a pair of these and several from the crocs shop and anaconda.
They are harder and less comfortable. The design is ever so slightly different to the classic croc available now but the deal breaker for me at regular price (clearly not at $5) is the hardness.

  • +1

    Yeah nah…

    • Yet, here you are…

  • Yep got one of these the other day! Usually a 9.5 and size 7 is what fit me!

Also lost bedtime privileges for a few nights…

  • -3

Are they paying ME $4.97 to where these?

  • These look like copies to me.Crocs are not manufactured in China. In fact all the pairs I own are made in Vietnam. These look quite cheap. No wonder they are priced @ $4.97!

  • +1

The are not the same as classic Crocs.. Brought some when they where $18 each.. Still fit ok for me. Wife hates them :) friends laugh.. they comfy so who cares :)

  • +4

They sell socks there too, if you want a one stop social outcast shop.

  • Crocs aren’t for public attire, but we have a few pairs at home at the doors for going into the garage or backyard, they are ugly but are really comfy.

  • Salties or Freshies?
