Which blender to use for daily smoothie?

We have been using Ninja for last couple of years and its nightmare. First time problem was blades stuck….so got replacement model and within months the blade started leaking. We use it twice a day. 2mins cycle per day. So basically it's not relaible product.

What do you guys use? I wonder those boost juice guys or so what do they use for smoothie?

  • Buy a commercial grade blender and never look back!

Home consumer models just dont last.

    • Thanks, which specific commercial grade blender?

We have a Vitamix and it seems to work quite well; it comes with a 7 year warranty. You can look at Froothie if you want big motor alternatives. I think Costco also do the Blendtec ones in Australia.

You need something with a pretty big motor and thinks like the Vitamix don't have detachable blades so you shouldn't have the leaking problem.

    • Vitamix is good and also Optimum brand.

I never thought I would be the kind of person would get up early and make a healthy breakfast smoothie. Turns out I was right.

    • Smoothies are one of the easiest breakfast things to make. Put all ingredients in a blender, run it, and then you have breakfast. Cleaning things like the Vitamix is just putting water, and a little bit of detergent, in the bowl and then running it for about a minute - rinse the bowl and leave dry upside down.

  • We've used a Nutribullet 900W for years.

  • Aldi have a powerful special buys one annually for < $100; there's also one just above $100.

  • I have been using a Kambrook Blitz2go almost daily for 2 years - bought cheap through HN from a deal on here.
    Works just fine for me.

  • I found it so hard to get the bacon and eggs with toast done properly in the blender so I ditched it and went with the fry pan / toaster method instead. best brekkie in town. :)

  • had 1 of the first froothie (Vitamix clone) models for a few years but got over renewing the drive gear in the base. when the ball bearings fell out of the container base I looked around & nowm have a Breville boss & love it. heaps better than the froothie.

Optimum 9400 is what I have for many years and has always been great.

  • late post as have an opportunity to get a fruit ninja blender through work, 200w vs 900w fruit ninja, what one? 200w seems under powered but its cheaper of course

    • Don’t know Ninjas but I would go higher powered. My Vitamix pulverises tomatoes, skin, seeds and all, so I don’t need to peel or deseed, before making my Neapolitana sauce. Also my banana smoothies are actually smoothies, no bits of fruit.

  • Tx for this
