    These machines any good?
Seems pretty good for $40, inc delivery and potentially 64 coffees!

  • Compared to dolce gusto, anyone can review?

    • Much better than the DG, but not the best of the machines. I found the coffee too cold and had to put almost boiling water into the reservoir. Also, marked the front of the pods (so it always goes the same way) and refilled with decent coffee. Then it makes a decent cup.

I've owned almost all the pod machines before (except the Woolies one) and I would say that the Lavazza pods are the best tasting pods.
    Beats ALDI, nespresso, Vittoria.

If you want a pod machine I'd say this looks like a good deal.

Personally I've moved away from pods and to the popular Breville Barista express machine.

these are great - the pods are better than the other and minimal mess. Only issue is the empty pod holder only holds about 8 pods.

      just aeropress it

Good deal. Great tasting pods if you get the strong ones (Intenso or Passionale). Buy pods on special at coles or woolies. I have Aldi machine now as bigger range and cheaper pods but if you don't drink a crapload of coffee lavazza is a good one to get. At this price I did pick one of these up as a spare.

Capsules are disastrous on environment (also read somewhere else that they pose a health risk)

Just curious if soft drinks in aluminium can is better for the environment?

    • Is this a fair neg?

    • not much more wastage than a takeaway coffee cup with a plastic lid is it?
There are recycling programs etc. too, but this is off-topic.

    • I bought a MAP pod machine around 8 years ago. Still reusing/ refilling 8 of the 10 pods that came with it (this tells me they don't break down that well in the ground. I left 2 pods on the window seal, they did degrade).

The aluminium foil I ball up and once a decent size put it in the recycle bin.

If you are super enviro conscious, an alfoil yoghurt top makes around 4 pods!

Machine has just arrived after purchasing you do not get the additional 32 capsules as described they only give you 1 box 16 capsules but the minimum order is three boxes so order 4 get 1 free a blatant rippoff.

    • Arrived today and found out the same thing. 16 capsules box but you have to order three boxed.
NO additional 32 Capsules upon registering the machine at Lavazza website! disappointed!

Does anyone have a screenshot from Kogan showing where it stated 32 additional capsules could be had upon registration? Mine arrived with no capsules whatsoever

  • Mine arrived today too and same thing. That is BS and misleading advertising! I'm gonna call and make a complaint

    • They still seem to be advertising it as 32 free capsules, that's pretty disappointing

      • OP, do you still have a screenshot of the 32 free capsules upon registering? I am on the same boat as others and it would be good if we can make a complain together.

        • Same boat here, however I received only 16 capsules and the box was ripped to absolute shreds with caps everywhere.

Seems to also be a card in the box that suggests we use the code on the back to register and get special offers by heading to store.lavazza.com/welcome which doesn't seem to exist.

          • @MBix: Mine arrived with 2 boxes of capsules which looked like they had been kicked around as a footy. The machine was also damaged (smashed water reservoir) with no packing foam and a weathered outside box so looks like I was sent a faulty machine which had been returned by someone else. In process of getting a replacement machine. They offered a dolce gusto machine but dont want that one. Pretty ordinary experience.

            • @robboaustralia: Seems as though you got a better Customer Support Rep than I managed, all I was offered was to send it back for a refund, or a $10 credit on my account for the missing 16 capsules. Which makes no sense because they don't actually sell the capsules (or they're sold out)

Sucks that your machine itself was busted however. It took me about 14 days to actually get a reply from their support staff after countless emails I contacted them via Facebook.

              • @MBix: Wow $10 credit for something they dont have! Stupid. They told me that the machine I got was sold out but they do have the red ones in stock still which are more expensive for some reason. Kogan Facebook were good. You actually get some progress through them. I am still waiting for a reply after I said I dont want the machine they offered. So might take another 2 weeks!

              • @MBix: Got a new machine sent out finally and did not have to return the busted one. Took a while but nice work by Kogan.
