  If you can be bothered you can import them from the US site and save about $700 or so.

    Can't believe the price difference. Two questions though: Do Lenovo US ship overseas or would I have to use an onward shipping service? Does Lenovo have a global warranty?

    get that straight from Lenovo US and you'll save half the money, plus the price including shipping doesn't even go beyond AUD $1000.

  I got a couple of t400 refurbs from US ebay about 2 years ago for 1/4 the cost of buying locally . Both are still going strong . 10-15% off locally is still not competitive against other brands . Great laptops just overpriced .
