27" 75hz or 100hz under $200?

Been using a Hisense 40" tv as my monitor for the past 7 years. It died on me last night and now I'm looking to get a monitor. Is it even possible to get a 27" 75hz or 100hz monitor under $200?

I just intend to use it in general PC work and csgo here and there. My PC is an Intel i5 7500 and R9 290 OC windforce GPU so I don't see any reason to get anything over 100hz.

  • assume you're already used to 40" 1080p, so the kogan recommended above should be fine for you at 27" 1080p

else viewsonic va2719-2k cost a bit more but 1440p at 27" overclockable to 80hz

  • I was looking at this. https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-30-curved-219-ultrawide-7…

    Are these monitors good?

  • In the market for anything above 30 inches atm 1080p refresh rate doesn't really matter but it will be mostly used for gaming and web browsing nothing professional like video editing or image editing so colour accuracy is not a major necessity.

What is the price premium on 120hz over 60hz these days and where is the sweet spot for between 28 and 34 inches?

I am trying to get around 32 inches to maximise my space.
