both these are recommended in other posts

      also insureandgo

  • I used the insurance on my amex cc recently as my kid got sick in Hawaii and we had to go to the GP. The appointment cost us $290USD, and the excess was $250USD… But it wasn't the easiest to claim as we had to get the doctor to e-mail this completed form

I can recommend these guys. I had to take my son to the doctor's in Washington for an eye infection and SCTI covered the doctor's fee, the pharmacy medicine cost and the taxis to and fro doctor with no excess. Total claim was only about $120, and the process was easy and pain free.

I think I read in the PDS that medical claims had no excess, hence I claimed it even though the amount was small.

      • +1 SCTI, rental car company charged for a scratch which magically appeared after I dropped it off.. was really easy claim.

  • I used 5he free travel insurance that came with my commonwealth bank credit card and they were wonderful. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough
