Any discounts on the Xiaomi Yeelight Smart LED WiFi Tune-able Colour Bulb YLDP06YL by any chance?

    • Our previous post is still up and running. check this out:
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/439833

    • btw, the Bulb deal ends at 06/03/2019.

      • +1

Any way to combine them? I'm after a few of these and the bulbs, prefer not to have to make two orders and two lots of shipping costs (when it appears there's no limit on items you can add for the flat rate shipping)

        • Sadly, no. As it is two different deals which based on different calculation and the motion sensor light was not in the previous deal.
Therefore, it have to be different purchase if you want to enjoy the discount on the motion sensor light.
We will post a new deal next time(probably within the month) which combines two deals but different prices.

        • Also, the shipping has the threshold of 1kg. As long as it's below 1kg when combined, it's $8.

        • +1

Yeah, should have been a combined discount code.. does not make sense ordering both seperately

          • +1

@Big Deal: Agreed. Good deal, but brainfart marketing logic.

I just bought $100 worth of lights and it would have been over $200 if I could have added half a dozen of the Smart LED's. Now I'll just have to wait for the next deal and probably end up buying them from somewhere else. Not a lot of commercial sense in that…

Postage, if being sent from China, needs to be sharply reduced to make this an attractive deal IMO…….and, sadly, I do want some of these. Ummm I see now, IMHO "Ship to Australia" isn't compatible with "Same day shipping with online tracking from our Sydney warehouse" so I am confused as to deal source (not where actually made, all must come from China in the first place).

    • +1

No worries. I will explain this. So, we imported our stock from China then store them in our Sydney warehouse which counts as available stock for sale. So, when you are buying products from our website, we sent it from our Sydney warehouse directly. In this case, if it is ordered before 3pm, we are able to pack and ship it within the day the order is placed, otherwise, it's the next day.

        OK, thanks.

Suggest change heading to "…+ $8 Ship from Australia @ Latest Living"

        • +1

          Great!

    • +1

Thanks for pointing that out, i have adjusted the title to make it less confusing.

      • Ya beat me to it, was going to suggest "within" but was worried there'd be a number of characters limit.

Thanks again……and I see a new message flag again before I get time to send, I'll send this and look then.

  • QUESTION - Hmmm I'm wavering now….I strongly assume 3 Yeelights must be under 1KG but can you confirm please?

For Ozbargainers - long time owner of two of these and completely satisfied. IMHO they are excellent with caveat that light is dim, ie not a reading light but for general "avoid stumbles at night" they are just fine. Sensor range is a bit less than I'd like it to be. Battery life is great (on motion only setting - untested as to "always on" mode) and the switch to "always on" mode is indispensable otherwise you need to keep in motion enough times so as to be distracting. As others have said here, if you have tots (not me any more, thank heavens) these are the bees knees.

Interested in more for some cupboard illumination.

    • Yes, have checked. So the sensor light is around 0.11kg each when fully packaged. 3 of them is definitely below 1kg.

  • I have the other Xiaomi night light, the one that takes normal batteries. Its good - but two complaints: the light is rather dim. And you cant change how long the light stays on. 20 seconds is not enough.

  • Thank you, purchased!

  • I was thinking of hanging this outdoors, under cover. Do you guys reckon this will be fine in summer (if it's not under direct sunlight) and winter?

MrOcelot - Would be good to know your opinion too.

    • So, the sensor light is using infrared sensor + light sensor as a mean of detection. It definitely works at night but i am not sure about its compatibility with sunlight. Also, when you mean under cover, what kind of cover you mean? Glass? or Non see through plastic? As it is a product require recharge, it would be rather inconvenient if you use it outdoors, btw, it is not a water proof product.

      • +1

Thanks for the reply. When I say outdoor, I'm only expecting it to work at night and not use any power during the day, just like how it would behave indoor.

When I say undercover, I mean it is under shade so not under direct sunlight and also it won't get wet by rain. So e.g. I'll place it outside my front door. So just wondering if there is a maximum of minimum temperature for the device during peak winter and summer periods. Is it dangerous to leave it out during summer when if reaches say 42 degrees?

        • So i have just checked. The sensor light has the operating temperature range of -10°C - 40°C. And working Humidity of ≤85%.

    • BAH long reply lost "field required"????? stupid site/web.

Summary - MUST be out of rain and (I strongly assume) direct sunlight.

Relatively easy to detach from mount to recharge. Must be accessible to do this - and to change illumination mode (small slide switch).

With tricky sensor distance and soft light, depending on area you want covered, you may need multiple, it is NOT a "light".

On time for MOTION is roughly 11 secs.

      Effect of temperature extremes unknown.

      • +1

Thank you! Yeah it'll be out of direct sunlight and rain. Just wondering if it'll survive max 44 degree weather during peak Sumer periods and wheether there's any danger since it's a lithium battery I assume, and same for max winter periods of -x degrees.

  • +3

7 Lights before postage bumps up to $10 in Sydney area.

  • Shipping kills it.

Cheaper to get it from china.

  • I bought some on last deal. The motion sensor can
    only detect less than 1.5m.

    • What else do you need in a normal hallway?
