I was looking for a replacement stick vac a while ago as my V6 turbo head motor broke. But I found out a family member had a damaged head with a good motor so just made a good one out of the two heads. Now V6 is back working but part of me wants an upgrade. But really its a vaccum not a nice phone of set of golf clubs. i'd rather have the $800.
Dyson have done a great job at making Vaccums appealing.
Thanks op. I found amazon selling the international Dyson V10 for $677. Only issue I see is that you need the correct power unit which is an extra $29. Anyone have experience with this one? I assume exact same, just ships with wrong charger.

Just get a universal adapter from ebay, does the same thing for a fraction of the cost.
Absolute (OP) is worth more than the Animal because it has an extra head.
I'd say it's probably better to buy the one in the OP because of the extras and the fact that it's the Absolute version.

Good luck dropping 800 bucks on a dyson, they have a habit of dying after a couple of years and their after warranty service is atrocious, you will be paying for any replacement parts after warranty expiry. Read up on customer reviews…
Not my experience at all. My V6 is still going strong. No issues at all.

My Dyson DC45 Animal is still going close to 10 years now. Didn't have to buy any replacement parts at all. (knock on wood)
Untrue. The mechanical head on our vac stopped rotating and after a quick phone call, they sent us a brand new one no questions asked. Didn't even ask us to send the old one back.
My v7 which I purchased direct from Dyson, died after 6 months. They wanted to try replacing the battery, however they had none and didn't know when they'd get stock. Days-weeks-months?? No idea. Waited a week and still no idea on when they'd have stock. So this is clearly a common problem, which is mirrored in quite a few online reviews.
I had to really kick up a stink and read them consumer law: "A vacuum cleaner which doesn't turn on is a major fault"
However they say: "a dead battery is not a major fault" but we will replace yours battery out of good will when we get stock in.After much back and forth and saying I was doing a charge-back, they sent me a new machine.

I reckon the lg a9 multi is a great deal too with the 20% off. Comes from $469 on clearance to $375. You get fluffy and turbo heads with that model.

I read from the Myer thread you will get a receipt from the retailer that does not mention eBay with the full RRP quoted.
People have already submitted their claim and are now waiting on the dok.

Should be - I imagine you will get a physical or electronic copy of an invoice that shows their ABN etc.

What I have found is that the V10 motor unit is very long (without any attachments). The Samsung and Xiaomi stick vacs have the same issue. When you add a head attachment, it will extend the unit even longer.
This makes it hard to maneuver into tight spaces like trying to clean your car's instrumment panel for instance.
Anyone owners have contrary experiences?
I found older Dysons like V6 and V8 are shorter. The cyclone unit is taller as opposed to longer. Same with the LG that I own.
Been using the Roidmi F8 Storm for 6 months and found it easy to use, with many attachments and powerful too. Haven't used V6 or V8, so cannot comment. But found it a bit difficult to use inside the car and went for a car vacuum cleaner.
I mainly want it for the car, but if it can't even do that job easily, I'm not sure why I still want it. I do, but only at $750 or less.

Update: contacted eBay, they gave me a $6 voucher to use next time as click and collect doesn't work (compensation for the shipping cost). But really pathetic considering I'll have to wait a week for delivery even though Essendon DFO is a 10min drive away.

I don't think you can leave feedback on a canceled transaction anymore. I have tried but it doesn't appear in my purchase history anymore.
I ordered the black at 1000, also checked the stock and it said more than 10 available at the time.
My order is still live on eBay so feedback should be possible but I've had an invoice from TGG saying they've cancelled and refunded me
Thank you OP, got the headphones after deliberating over it for a while.
Their click and collect kept failing, so ended up going for the delivery option. Due to the recent parcel thefts in my area thought that a parcel locker was a good idea, too bad I didn't realize they don't deliver to parcel lockers as I just got an email today, after making the order around 10am yesterday, that they cancelled the order as they can't deliver. Would have been nice for them to contact for alternative address as it was going to be a birthday gift. Guess I'll have to wait for something else.

@Turd: If I don't get it, I have $800 to lose because the free Dok was the reason I bought it. No Dok, no buy.
I have the LG A9Master2X and a corded Miele C&D. I'm covered for all my vacuuming needs. The V10 is not enough of an upgrade over the LG to shell out $800, but the free dok and bonus tools was just enough to tip me over the edge.
@Turd: It would be nice if they left a stock counter so people don't buy if there's none left, of don't miss out if there is still stock left.
