Cheapest I've seen it prior was $3864 + $85 delivery in December 2018 Appliance Central
      Very tempting atm..

Hmmm.. Smart TVs have become pretty cheap these days…now I need a big home :-)

Bought this a week or so ago. Fantastic TV…..the remote is a bit weedy though.

    • I've had mine for about 6 months and love it.

      • Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic TV but the remote seems a step backwards over my previous Samsung remote with touchpad, voice commands, etc.

I suppose simplicity can be nice sometimes.

        • I really like the picture and with my Nvidia Shield and HW-K950 Sound bar its awesome.
At first I wasn't a fan of the remote but its grown on me, I just hate when I get it mixed up with my HW-K950 Sound bar remote.
Also that tv remote controls all 3 devices so I only need to have that one out.

You can probably still use the same remote.

    • Do you play games? If so, how is it?
And how's your experience been watching sport, is the motion good?

      • I've been watching sports and playing the Xbox One X on it and it's been handling it superbly.

  • This is a great price, considering the reviews for this TV are a hair shy of the Q6, 82" for $3700 is very decent.

Very close to pulling the trigger on this , but having done lots of study in stores, the OLED/QLED TVs really look so much better.
The colour on this tv do seem washed out.

The new Samsung’s are being released in a couple of months. I am finding it difficult to justify an LCD tv at the moment, even though the deals are impressive

  • I've been watching deals on this for while, finally decided to buy it. Thanks!

  • Yeah, I ended up pulling the trigger on this late last night. The Good Guys rang up today and asked when I’d like it delivered, it could be as early as tomorrow, and they even deliver on Saturday AND Sunday. Pretty darn good.

The biggest reason for me going with this, was that I had looked at TVs for a while, in a number of JB Hi-Fi stores, but I also went to a couple of Bing Lee stores. In JB, each manufacturer has their own demo loop playing specific to that TV. The Rhodes Bing Lee had the same demo loop playing on all the TVs at the same time ( https://youtu.be/rbUqOPw7w0U ), so I could compare them accurately, side by side.
There was bugger all difference between the LCD and the QLED.

The staff were so much more knowledgeable at Bing Lee, and this guy at Hornsby Bing Lee was great. Just want to give a public shout out.
Thumbs down to JB at Hornsby. Samsung’s are being run out, and I was going to buy a Samsung Q7 75” QLED, but they had no stock in the state, and only had the floor stock to sell. Only offered $200 off, even though it was covered in kids hand prints. Arseholes.
