    Thanks for posting, been keen to play Odyssey for ages and at this price I'll bite. Too much high-quality, cheap indie titles are available on the system and they're building up a backlog stopping me getting to the AAA games ha.

        You're not wrong! I've received quite a few games for free through Twitch (via Amazon Prime) that I'd considered for the Switch. Though, I think it goes without saying that you're kinda paying extra for the convenience of portability when buying on Switch.

    I am concerned by all the Reviews for Super Mario Odyssey stating things such as;
    "Pre-owned product sold as a new item"
    "Perfect condition but note the product is preowned"
    "The game was not in new condition…"

        True, but that is different to something appearing used….

        • I bought this item, it's clearly pre-owned and there are marks on the cartridge.

        • The outer plastic sealing was not present and multiple scratches to the game cartridge, including the gold fingers indicating wear.

          I've read that all individual carts are tested by Nintendo hence why they can have marks on the pins and carts

            @buckster: Yeah I’ve opened up sealed ones with the marks on the contacts. I don’t think that is necessarily an indicator of a used cartridge. It is dodgy though it that’s whats happening with amazon.

        Switch games in general are never sealed. It's only specialty publishers who seal their games. Nintendo don't.

      The difficult thing with Amazon is that marketplace listings are listed on the same product page as items sold by Amazon AU. Therefore, reviews might be about a third seller. I highly doubt Amazon would be selling preowned stuff.

        When I was in the US, I regularly got items shipped and sold by Amazon with light use. Not bad, but definitely not new.

        I guess that’s the downside of a “no questions asked” return policy.

          I'd think a better deal would come between now and Christmas, but I doubt anything will beat it (at least notably) between now and Easter.

          It won't get significantly cheaper. The console is very rarely below $350, and Odyssey is almost never much below $50.
