My calculations for 2 days in Thredbo + a 7 days in Niseko was $636.47 AUD vs $810 aud.

  • Good deal, I've skied a few of those places. As ex Army though, i wonder how the Vail Resorts Epic Pass with the veteran discount compares, particularly since they make the point of including Australian and Canadian veterans in the deal.

    • I reckon it depends on how much skiing you want - the problem with epic pass is its 700$+ so you need to get that much worth of ski-ing done. At $450, its easier to make your money back on this pass. E.g. a weekend in thredbo + 4-5 day trip down at queenstown would earn it back. But if you're going to ski 30+ days a season anyway, epic gives you better resorts.

      • Veterans Pass for an Epic Season Pass is $130USD I think, eligibility for Australian veterans is here https://amp.snow.com/military-verification I am a lodge member at Mt Buller in Victoria so not much use to me but if I was going over to the US next Feb it would be worth it. Epic Pass includes Perisher in NSW
