    Who buys SD set top boxes these days when HD boxes can be purchased for as low as $40. To watch all the exclusive dedicated content on HD channels. ONE HD, News 24, Gem and 7 Mate.

        i got a Strong HD box from Clive Peters for $48 not too long ago… It was posted here at Ozbargain… It also doubles as a media player….

          DickSmith has their own brand HD STB for $49.90 or something. dirt cheap.
          or go to K-Mart or Big W. You will find low end similar HD STB.

        yep, the tax payer will be stung for say $20 for the hardware, and $200 for labour…
        someone is going to make a lot of money out of this…

        I hope Peter Garrett isn't involved… I don't want to read about lots of pensioners getting electrocuted using their new set top boxes… :O

    some SD boxes can still pull a HD signal, it just downscales them to SD
