Only if you have friend or relative in those organisations. That's not even a comparison really.

Nice, shame that my cracked s8 is still looking for buyer on gumtree

    • Well, how much you're selling?

      • advertised for 399.

  • 894 now from playfone.go_au on ebay bringing it down to $805.49. The 10e seems to be dropping in price pretty fast. It the snapdragon version was that price I would have bought it straight away

    • Looks like you need to apply GST to that one though

    • Is S10e the poor man version of S10?

It's the bottom model in the S10 range, but honestly seems like the better format phone to me.

        S10e

        • cheaper
        • 5.8" Full HD+
        • "only" 6GB RAM
        • 2 rear cameras
        • flat glass (I consider this a feature, never liked the rounded edges on Samsung phones)
        • 3100mAh battery (probably not a big issue with the smaller/lower res screen)
        • fingerprint reader in power button on side of phone

        S10

        • 6.1" Quad HD+
        • 8GB RAM
        • 3 rear cameras
        • curved glass
        • 3400mAh battery
        • on screen fingerprint reader

To me the S10e ticks all the important boxes. It's about the same size as the S7 but has a larger screen due to the reduced bezels.

        • Is the s9 better than the S10E?

  • Does QD_AU still have a good reputation for warranty claims?

I bought a Sony Z5compact from them which developed Camera issues. I contacted them through eBay.
They told me to do a factory reset (which became Chinese) and send the phone to a NSW address.
I got the phone back about a month later and all back in English.
Phone still going strong as my spare phone in the car for Android Auto.
I would not hesistate to buy from them again.

  • Sorry for going off topic. I am planning to buy a S8 for $512 (after discount) from QD_AU for my wife. Is there a better phone in terms of camera, screen, battery life, connectivity & build quality at this price point? The older generation processor is not a concern for me as it would be fast enough for an average user. Thanks in advance.

I moved from an S8 to a Xiaomi mi 8 a year ago, paid $450 for it with discounted gift card. Screen is comparable (only fhd+ but then I ran s8 at fhd+ also 99.9% of the time), camera is a nice improvement especially with gcam, battery life so so but generally longer than my S8, build is very nice it's their flagship phones. If you have no need for google pay/nfc then the mi 8 se (not mi 8 lite) is a smaller mi 8 with weaker cpu (which is still fast among mid-tier phone) but still have amoled screen and use the same camera module and software as the mi 8, I got 1 for my wife it does everything as good as the mi 8 in general usage and battery life last longer.

  • Ebay doesn't let me apply the code to get 10% off although the home page is still advertising the code.

    • Nvm, the code is working. Somehow ebay doesn't like my account.
