          I love the new Sumo (same case, sapphire, new bezel looks less cartoonish) but massive price jump.

          In fact all the mid-range Seiko arehl/have riseb in price, not necessarily in line with their specs.

      Hardlex / mineral glass is used in divers for shatter resistance. It really doesn't scratch that easily unless you're beating the hell out of the watch.

    Really intrigued by this watch. However from YouTube reviews it seems two common faults with this watch are a misaligned chapter ring (common to most Seiko watches) and misaligned crown.

    Makes it kind of hard to purchase this unless you see the watch in person. Feels like the kind of thing you can't unsee if yours has it. But man does this watch look good!

    Did anyone manage to buy this online with perfectly alignment?

      My chapter ring is very very slightly off. Whatever.

      I think the crown being off is blown out of proportion. It looks wonky from nearly any angle, especially in photos, but it isn't. I actually got card shims to measure and it was fine lol.

      .. I then dropped it a week later and took a chip out of the bezel which is much more annoying.

      Purchased Black Samurai SRPB51K from Starbuy last year (when it went on sale for $350) - chapter ring aligned perfectly, and as Merlict below said the crown is not actually misaligned, it just looks weird if you're not looking at it straight on.

      It's a running joke that if you get a Seiko with perfect chapter ring or bezel alignment they skipped quality control.

      It’s a pessimistic estimate. They’re more accurate than that in general.

        when I got one, it was about that much per day. They aren't very accurate mechanisms.
