  • I have a Magnat centre speaker from this sale - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/25901, decent sounding speaker for the price.

  • what are these like?

    • Hi bemybubble,
They're really great for movies, gaming, general TV use - music as well, however they're not going to be quite as loud as some packs. As far as quality goes, they're one of Magnat's better Home theatre sets - the bass is really clean and tight. People hear things differently and as meetspin has mentioned below, if you're able to listen to them beforehand, that's obviously the easiest way to know exactly how you like them.

  • Any special deals on your B&W speakers?

    • +1

      Hi Commander,
Unfortunately no deal as yet on the B&W Speakers - because there are a specialist brand we are restricted as to deals we can do. I would just pull something together but usually we get communication from our Rep when we are allowed to do specials. Sorry Commander - thanks for your interest though!

  • Apart from eBay/White Van speakers, they LOOK (not sound) hard to beat.
However, I would not be expecting a lot from this set of speakers.
I've ALWAYS made it a rule to listen to audio equipment before buying it. Curious as to how these compare to the lower end Wharfdale's, Pioneer Todoroki's or Sony Muteki's (even though they are slightly more expensive).

    • Hi meetspin,
I totally agree that being able to listen to speakers, amps etc. is ideal - as you would with a new TV.

Compared to the Todoroki's or Muteki's, these aren't going to be quite as powerful but they will be more controlled and have much better clarity in the mid-range.

Nice comparison.. Have heard the todoroki's and agree they are powerful bang 4 buck speakers… Off to hear some sony's 2day:)

  • Any suggestions as to what AV receiver to go with these?
