OP - I think you should point out the warranty concerns of the previous post - certainly not a deal breaker, but I think it needs to be flagged

  • Warranty
    ACT Supplied 12 Months warranty

    Grey import?

    .

      replacement fleet.

      • -1

replacement fleet for replacement that didn't happen

the stingy numbnuts refused to acknowledge my assistance in selling their units, so I banned them from my list of preferred suppliers from now on. you're doing them a favour pushing it further :)

    • I didn't end up buying either as dell outlet have them for approx 1400 with 3 year warranty. The warranty would be worth 600$ according to the estimate this seller quoted. If this one is actually 2-in-1 though, I would have pulled the trigger.

      • -2

I tried to pull the deal when I learned specifics and checked unit history with Dell directly, but mods didn't let me pull it, because the deal was too popular. their own misfortune so screw them.

now that's a much better deal :D get a FullHD IPS 11.6 incher and make a cool portable travel machine :D I mean get the laptop and upgrade the screen lol I would totally do it!

        • I thought you had a real deal for me there as I'm after something to replace my aging sp3 >_<

          • @rexii2300: 250 for a rugged latitude + 100 for a screen is a stellar deal :D

            • @[Deactivated]: Can only seem to find 1366x768 panels for this… any chance you could help point me in the right direction? :)

              • +1

@runtoparadise: I will need to contact my supplier, but you can run an advanced search on panelook. edp 30 pin, fixation right and left, IPS family, FullHD resolution, yada yada. the list is short

                • @[Deactivated]: Did you have any luck…? I had a look on panelook but got lost with narrowing down the options :(

@runtoparadise: haha sorry someone sent me a similar private message, and I thought it was you :)

                    here's the model N116HSE-EA1

I would just order it straight from these guys, they deliver to AU. what I would do is chat to them first and tell them that you need exactly this model, how to order it, and if they don't have in stock, what alternative can they offer, and let me know.

                    • @[Deactivated]: Not to worry. Thanks heaps for that :) I was just wondering how does one find the exact spec of the panel in a laptop in terms of all the mounting and connectors without actually having to physically remove it from the laptop first.

                      • +1

@runtoparadise: there are 3 sources for this: notebookcheck, laptopscreens.com, and manufacturer's specifications (that is actually number one if it lists the actual model). if you have the laptop in front of yoi, run something like hwinfo, and pull manufacturers part id off that, thalen google it, I am 100% sure that this will yield the model number. once you have the model number, you look it up on panelook, and you know wjat to search for as a replacement. fixation, interface, yada yada :)

WTF!?!? This is a bargain site intended for helping highlight good deals not getting kickbacks from suppliers

      • -7

go post another coffee grinder deal, o wise one :D I don't gey kickback from no one, but people usually at least say thank you for moving dead weight. I do it for the kick out of the comments like yours, really. people amuse me to no end

Naw, sounds like you need a cuddle. Sending you big internet hugs

          • @OzBragain: I have no idea what you are talking about, you've been attacking me all along now you send me hugs

Nah I'm a lover not a fighter, just pointed out a few entitled comments that weren't really helping your cause.

Really seems like you're missing some affection in your life and wanted to remind you there's love all around you.

          • @OzBragain: https://www.dell.com/en-au/outlet/ProductDescription?cfID=C8…

now that's a good deal. 3 year warranty included, $949 delivered to anywhere there's life in this country. qty: 1.

don't listen to people who say "yuck refurbished". the only difference between Dell new and Dell refurbished when it comes to business grade hardware is.. no difference really, if you don't like something you get on the phone to Dell and tomorrow there's a technician at your home replacing everything but the power cord.

      • -4

at any rate word "kickback" is not even copacetic with what I am trying to achieve here

  • Better get this or a refurb from dell (3-year warranty + windows pro). The price is similar.
