Vitamin Supplement That Have Cracked?

I have some vitamin supplements pills in its original container, most of the pills have a huge crack going around it. I just want to know if it is safe to eat? I’m assuming that humidity has reached inside the container since I removed that little moisture absorber.

I had that happen to vitamin B tablets when I was in Hawaii, I still took them and lived to tell the tale.

didn’t you feel sick or any side effects? The supplement are my sisters, I told her to throw it out since water compounds and pills don’t mix, as it would change the chemicals in the pills and might go toxic? She said she’s only taken the ones that have not cracked thought I insist to throw them all out.

Why would water cause it to go toxic?

Don't you take pills with water?

You're referring to the clear capsules that feel like hard plastic, those are just to keep the right dosage together. You can pop them and sprinkle it on your food.

Don't worry, these vitamin pills will continue to be effective at what they do - make expensive pee.

    • Yeah, but you have to be careful about some of the supplements people take, they can be toxic on the liver etc.

      • Not if you are doing a regular liver detox procedure…

        • yup, stacking the problem.

I look at the regular “cleanse” stuff people do. I’m not keen on “cleansing” when I get my colonoscopy done, let alone doing it for some nebulous idea of “healthy” living. liver detox is drink a shit load of water and cut back on toxins like alcohol and weird things you don’t know what they contain.

I should set up an “alternative medicine” company based on common sense.
