  • What grade of steel are furi knives made of?

    • Hi Fecal Tansplant,

Sorry for the delay, I'll find out from our supplier tomorrow and will confirm.

I have a set of Furi knives, I wouldn't ever buy another. They are/can be sharp but they are thin, brittle and the edges get chips really easily. They are marked CrMoV, one of them gets rust spots if left wet and I only now use the serrated vegetable knife and went back to using my old Mundial set. Save money and buy a couple of decent Japanese knifes or Wustof or something.

Edit: when I say wet I don't mean leaving it in the sink, I mean if washed and flicked dry instead of wiping with a towel, those few remaining water drops will make rust spots. Not what you'd expect for what I consider a consumer grade knife made for people who probably don't know how to treat a decent knife properly

    • Hi ghostknife,

Sorry to hear you've had a bad experience using Furi knives. We have had countless customers say how much they are enjoying their Furi knives. Ours come with a 25 year manufacturer warranty in odd cases where something like this happens and we replace the knives straight away.

Sounds like the knives you are currently using appear to be doing the trick which is good to hear.

    • Never had anything like that with mine. They're not the best knives - I much prefer my Japanese ones - but they're perfectly acceptable when purchased at a decent discount.
