Do you do machetes? A few bins need filling in Victoria

15% off an overinflated RRP is not an Ozb.

  • +3

perfect. I 'lost' one when I was at the train station the other day.

    Wilora dropped the ball.

  • So a legitimate tool is being reported as an illegal/banned item and downvoted without basis?

You can tell most of you haven’t touched grass. Step outside of your apartments, hire a car, travel into the great outdoors and you’ll soon see why these are still valuable tools used by many for legal purposes.

I need a knife to hire a car these days?

"Touching grass" has to be in my top five most hated trite phrases.

        • +5

It's a phrase that doesn't really work in Australia because the grass here has ants and spiders and snakes.

        • First world problem!

          ;-)

        • Spose it's better than "touching cloth"

      • +2

Not needed but Wielding one gives you +4 to Speech and Persuasion.

Machetes have legit uses too but it seems some Victorians have found other uses

    • -6

Whether you carry it for work, safety, or everyday use, this version is built for real conditions.

So apart from picking up witchety grubs, what is the use for this knife? Like guns, the d*heads have ruined it for urban society. And like guns, there's no need for them in urban society.

It's a shitty little knife designed to.appeal to urban teenage girls..It's not particularly functional.

      • +1

There are no urban areas in Australia though, Australia is suburban.

OECD defines urban as population density of 1500 people/km^2 or denser. SYD is 441, Melbourne is 521 and Brisbane is 171. Nowhere near the required 1500.

    • Is it a bargain?

    • -4

OzBargain rules clearly apply to “concealed… knives”. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:banned_items#:~:text=…

I searched “concealed knives” on Google and every second image looks like this deal. So I think it probably violates the rules, even though I didn’t click the Report button. https://www.google.com/search?q=concealed+knives

By the way there are plenty of other good quality knives on that Google link for around the same price. The folding knife from Smith & Wesson for $45 looks like it will last a lot longer than the current deal for only double the price.

Will these sell out fast down Dandenong way

  • -6

Sellers must take all reasonable steps to ensure they do not sell to minors, including online. Some businesses use third-party verification software or apps which check if the ID is valid. *In comparison, a basic pop-up or tick box asking ‘Are you over 18’ is unlikely to provide responsible businesses with confidence that they are not at risk of selling to a minor and breaching the law.

OP, what reasonable steps are you taking when shipping to QLD?
