Or for those with prime, available https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07B48FJFH/?coliid=I1M38D0DN9Q4… for $154.26, and delivery now, not in 1-2 months.

    • I wonder why there are two listings! This one just seems better in every way?

      • $154.26 USA vs $179 Local warranty.

        • Nah, $154 AUD through amazon.com.au (even if from US). But local warranty is a good point! Or do Amazon offer Aus warranty through the Australian site?

          • @snoopydoop: The better question would be what Sony's warranty policy is like internationally.

    • Good find mate! But would it be difficult to claim warranty if anything should happen to the speakers? Return shipping would cost a few $$ due to the outrageous postal fee we have here.

      • Honestly, I'm not sure, however as it is fulfilled by Amazon, I wouldn't expect to have any issues returning it to them to get sorted. In my experience they have always been very good, however, that is with the caveat that I have not had to return something via their overseas site.

      • I think Amazon would pay for that?

  • I bought one on Fri and got it on Monday. Real quick with Prime. Make sure you use shopback for 6% cashback.

    • do they work? hows the sound?

      • Its filled the emptiness ard the ceiling. They are pretty good. I've gone front height instead of upfiring as it wasn't natural compared to the front heights. I cant fit on ceiling so front height was most natural sounding.

The Atmos leaf demo was the best to test any Atmos system. I used this as a placement guide for my listening.

its back in stock at Amazon Au @$179.

I have always wondered, what exactly makes a speaker "DOLBY ATMOS® ENABLED"?

    • +1

If your amp supports atmos, you place these (ideally) on top of your front L/R tower speakers, so that they bounce off the roof and give the illusion that the sound is coming from above you. Performance is obviously going to differ depending on the room.

i think you angle any book shelf speaker in a 20 degree angle which makes it atmos enabled :)

Not until you pay Dolby the licensing fee.

  • If it's anything like the k850 soundbar, upfiring does nothing.

  • I understand that the general consensus is that upfiring sucks, you need to invest in ceiling mounted speakers.

    • front heights are 2nd best
