Good price for these with $9.95 shipping comes to $178.95. OP you should add at the top that there are 3 colours available.
    Just copy paste below:
    3 Colours available.
    Steel blue: https://m.catch.com.au/product/b-o-beoplay-h4-wireless-over-…
    Aloe: https://m.catch.com.au/product/b-o-beoplay-h4-wireless-over-…
    Violet: https://m.catch.com.au/product/b-o-beoplay-h4-wireless-over-…

Selling for between $300-$400 everywhere else.
Cheapest I saw in the past was around the $205 at Videopro.com.au for the Vapour (all white) if I remember correctly (after a quick search I discovered they were going for $199 at Myer Violet colour only).
I was considering these to go wireless awhile ago, then I noticed this model does not have replaceable battery like the H7/H9 series (does a bit to reduce the possible product longevity due to H4’s built-in battery).
Good review comparing B&O series here.
(He gets mixed up a few times with the model names, but if you pay attention you’ll know which ones he’s talking about.)

    • Still wonder that if you are after sound quality, why not pick up the Sennheiser 4.40 or 4.50 nc. Definitely different designs though, so if you are concerned with appearance obviously you will be looking at B&O or Beats etc.

      • +1

Sound for the entire B&O range is consistently good, the H4’s are more tuned towards popular bassy music (pop/hip hop/rnb etc) but still capable in other genres.
The H7/H9 prioritise sound quality over NC so they have good sound quality also, although expensive (an unique plus is the removable/replaceable battery. So you can buy a new one when the battery dies out).
And as you mentioned, design, build quality & materials is great on the upper-end models (similar to H6 wired model which I own).
These are good headphones, way beyond the sound/build quality you get from Beats.
Edit: I have heard comparisons between the beats and H4, but that’s only because the H4 provides a lot of good bass. That is where the similarities end.

        • Most reviews pit the sound quality as the main negative for the H4. I'm just saying at this price point you can get much better sounding headphones is all. Blows my mind that they don't come with a case or even a sleeve given the price. Again these don't even fold up for easy packing etc. Most reviews seem to put this in the same category as current beats (which have reviewed well but same quality sound).

          • @onlinepred: By price point, you mean the RRP of $300-$400. And sound is always subjective, so depends what you listen to
(I have also heard many people say the Sennheiser’s were underwhelming).
At $166 I think they are a good pair.
Just like B&O’s entire range the main downside is price.
But if you can pick them up on a sale like this, I think they are well worth it.

            • @thebadmachine: B&O entire range sound completely different to each other. The H9 actually sounds really good, the H4 was in my consideration when buying a set of headphones, they were less comfortable than Bose Soundlink, were far more bass heavy, had tinny highs, didn't fold, didn't come with case. I tried the Sennheiser 4.40 and they sound significantly better, still bassy but much more natural, not as comfortable, but can be had at $150 during sales regularly. The H4 has and always will be a fashion choice compared to the rest of their range.

              • @onlinepred: Yeah the H4 is their entry level.
I wouldn’t say completely different, but they do have their differences.
I consider the H7 to sound very similar to H6 wired (the most balanced of the bunch), only with more emphasis on bass (personally I like the H6 sound signature more, but I find most people are into bass and so they are willing to compromise other things for more bass)(Edit: maybe this matters more when you are using them outdoors also).
And have heard good things about the H9 with all types of music.

The H4 sound seems to have compromised everything else for a lot of creamy strong bass.
It’s worth noting the Headphones can be EQ’ed with the Beoplay app, but I guess that may be considered cheating.

                • @thebadmachine: Edit: the EQ in Beoplay app may have influenced my opinion on the H4’s. I remember specifically searching for a reviews including the EQ app and those reviews were very positive about its sound.

              • @onlinepred: Bose Soundlink are speakers. Did you mean something else?

    • Thank you margejsimpson.
I've updated the post, however I didn't know how to add URIs so pointing them towards your comment.

      • Hi good job, i think it would be nice to have the links at the top of the post, as I think most people will miss it.
You can do as you please it’s your deal.

  • Great deal. Pulled the trigger on some steel blue's. Shame there's no carry case included.

    • Some? More than 1 why?

      • +1

I think as headphones are generally described as a pair, his term of some, is used loosely and just means he bought one set.

  • +1

10% off ebay with code. And free shipping if you have ebay plus.

    • Code is= PNIGHT10

    • +1

Price is slightly jacked, but 10% off brings it to
      $156.60 + $10 delivery fee = $166.60 total for non-plus members.
      So $12.35 savings. Worth it.

Update: Steel blue is out of stock on Catch eBay.

    No noise cancelling tho

    • -1

Don't use it anyway, so win?

  • +1

Wow was going to pull the trigger but realised they don't fold… Apparently mic quality is quite bad too :-(

    • +1

They do fold flat, just not twice like some other headphones.

  • Beoplay p2 teal colour also on discount for $99

    • Is it good?

      • RRP is now $299. anything under $150 is good value with these little speakers. Makes a very good handfree option with phone calls too

  • +1

It’s also worth noting that the H4 supports AAC and SBC codecs.
So you would think Apple users get the better end of the stick.
But it seems this is not the case, as the same codecs on different devices are not made equal.
Found this response chart, interesting how some SBC on certain devices out-do AAC.
    https://www.soundguys.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/aac-los…
So if your an android user, manually changing the Bluetooth codec on your device may give you improved sound (with 320kbps or higher).

  • Must resist……

    • Looking at the eBay stats. ‘Aloe’ colour (minty grey) the 2nd most decent colour is selling more quickly than ‘Violet’, the most attention grabbing colour of the bunch. (The sold out ‘Steel blue’ was the most decent and less likely to discolour or stain than Aloe.)
It’s either commit now or risk ending up with Harajuku Thanos ‘Violet’ as the only option (which IMO is still a better colour than the Ronald McDonald Limited Edition ‘DJ Khaled’ H6’s ).
(In ozbargain tradition I encourage you to make a purchase.)

      • I don't mind red. I hate black.
        It's sad desperate and darkness.

        • +1

I look at colours more as either ‘look at my headphones’ or ‘headphones’.
Then again I only listen to mine indoors in-the-dark (before I sleep), but I still bought a particularly standard colour-way.

Disclaimer: When out-and-about, I recommend using audio equipment with which you can hear your surroundings. Remembering that story about a person who got _____ by a reversing garbage truck.. they were listening to music and failed to hear it.

  • Insane pricing, I use my pair when travelling, had them for 3 years now.

The P2 listed for $99 is also a crazy price!

    • They are experiencing poor sales of certain colour designs for some of their products IMO.
They were too ‘poppy’ like they were marketing Toys.

      • They are just seasonal colours that are EOL, a little bit of over ordering when they took their manufacturing to China.

  • Thanks OP - great deal. $166.65 delivered via Catch Ebay store.
Still plenty of stock in these two colours:
