Probably been asked before, but what's the difference between the car one and the carpet one?
You mean the purple/orange one? Mainly the attachments included in the box. The auto comes with 3 heads, the purple only has 1 IIRC, the orange one has dirt trapper tool.

What is the purpose of the dirt trapper tool? I see it in the photos but not sure why you want to trap it.
Supposedly if you vacuum things like vomit or #2 accidents the dirt will go to the trap instead of into the dirty water tank. Easier to clean I suppose.

Would this be suitable for cleaning a sofa and spots on carpet inside the house too?
Definitely yes for sofa and small rugs, but wet vaccum is more suitable for large carpeted area as you’d have to be on your knees to clean carpet with this.
Is this an ok product if you don't mind being on your knees?
A vacuum is going to be big and bulky and I don't want that.
I’ve seen people did entire carpet with this so it’s doable.
