Subway Bread

Hi all,

Bored at work but random question(s)…

I quite like the bread sold at subway compared to the ones in Coles and Woolies etc. Can you actually buy just the bread from them instead of the pre-made subs? if not, does anyone know where I can buy something similar? lol

Yes you can, just get a foot long meatball, hold the meatball, hold the cheese, hold the salad and hold the sauce.

    $7.95

    Bargain!

my old subway would sell the bread for $1 each. Theres a button on the computer but we didnt like doing it. Low profit.

It is personal preference, but I think the smell of the bread from Subway is the reason I don't go to Subway.

    • My guess is they use extra smelly yeast as a form of advertising. I stayed at a hotel near the exhaust of a Subway and it makes me feel sick now.

  • Isn't the bread frozen before delivery to stores?

do some research that bread is sooooooooo bad for you.

when subway first made their bread it was nice and actually healthy.

then around the mid 90's i think they changed the recipe adding a new ingredient to make the bread lighter and fluffier, that crap is sooo bad for you.

I find it interesting that you tell others to "do some research" then proceed to allege a 'fact' that occurred sometime "mid 90's" and mention a new ingredient but fail to name it.

Care to enlighten us further on your research?
