Just saw Clive Peeters is selling the Older model Western Digital Portable 500GB My Passport Essential for $58 in store or online. It is older stock which is only USB 2.0 but its still the cheapest 500GB portable HDD i could find so i grabbed one for my Western digital HDTV :)

    Everyone is having a craze over the 1TB verbatim hdd deal making any HDD deal seems like a no ozbargain. Still an okay price though..

      Yea but this one is USB powered unlike the verbatim one, which is great for me cause im running out of power points :D

      This is a 2.5 and the 1tb verbatim is a cheap 3.5 so that wasnt a deal.

      Good idea !! also you could probs trick them into giving you the new USB 3.0 Version because they most likely wont know the diff
