Hi all,

I have been looking to purchase a storage case for my Micro SD and SD cards and whilst there are many out there for a few dollars from overseas a particular one from Neewer caught my eye. They are usually $14.99 on eBay but haven't seem them drop at all so I was just going to bite the bullet. • that clip which hold the case together seems like it break/become loose at some point. To which all my microsd cards would fall into a grate that i happen to be standing on, which i am taking out of my bag/pocket.

    • The cards aren't just loosely sitting in the case, they're held in by the TPU insert. Do you normally bang your memory card cases against your palm every time you take it out of your bag?

      • I normally just throw memory cards into whatever container is available, often just in my wallet. I've never seen the point of a memory card case.

        • I use one of those eclpise mint containers

      Pessimist much? lol

There is also this for about half the price…

Different card storage options. Might suit better or worse depending on what cards you are travelling with!

      • +1

        Yep, exactly.
But you could buy two for the price of one.

There is also a basically identical blue one that is about the same price without any "lightning deal"

        • +1

Absolutely. Personal preference of course. I'd rather carry one that suits me better though.

I did see the blue one too but I preferred the black. By all means go for the blue if that suits you better Dave!

  • Looks like it's sold out now at this price. I believe there was only ~25 units available.

    • It's not sold out.
It's only 8% claimed and still has 4hrs to run.

    • +1

Now at 21% claimed with 2.5hrs remaining.

Just letting you know that with lightning deals, it disappears once you buy from the deal.

I have this case which I purchased last year, it's a solid unit, clip is also very sturdy.

  • This one will store hundreds of memory cards, and costs less!

    • Does it come with static electricity included, or do you have to generate your own?

      • I don't know, I generally just store my spare cards in my wallet, or in a pocket of my bag.

        • +1

You store your microSD cards in your bag pocket? Don't you care about damage? Or do you just have a very tiny pocket on your bag?

          • @eug: I have a small pocket in my bag. I've never damaged an SD or microsd card.

            • @macrocephalic: OK. With the situations I use my gear in, I prefer to take precautions and protect fragile items. A loose SD card in a bag pocket can be damaged by the bag fabric flexing, or something pushing against the pocket like when I put the bag in a full car boot, or friction damaging the gold plating on the contacts when it rubs against anything in the pocket, static damage, etc.

I just use one of these. There's a small dent in one of mine already - glad it was the case that dented and not the SD card!
