Hi friends!

I've lived in Melbourne a very long time, and even BEEN to see the MSO a few times, but somehow didn't know that you can get $19 tickets as a student!!
The best part is, it's not just the cheap seats at the back that are discounted: ANY available seat is this price! I booked an 'A Reserve' seat that would've cost $135 as an adult ticket for a mere $19! BARGAIN.

Student Membership is free, no yearly fees or anything!

(Yes I know this isn't really a 'deal' since its long running, but it's definitely a bargain, and it's in oz, so I think it fits here :) )

  Student memberships entitle student card-holders to access $19 tickets to eligible concerts throughout 2019. Eligible concerts are subject to availability and may change with little or no notice. Limit two student tickets per transaction. Student member tickets close at 6pm, 2 business days before each concert unless sold out prior. Student member tickets can only be used by current students. Valid student ID may be requested upon entry for both the student member and their guest. Transaction fees may apply. Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer. 2019 student membership is valid for concerts before December 31, 2019. To sign up for a student membership you must be 18 years or over, or must have the consent of your parent or guardian. If you are under the age of 18, you must have your parent/guardian contact the MSO Box Office on (03) 9929 9600.

  FYI the Five at 5 chamber concert series run by Orchestra Victoria is free for under 25s.

    Potentially yes, but technically according to the T&C's, no. Valid student ID 'may' be requested upon entry.

    They check when you pick up the tix.

    Should mention if it's a 'for the public' event like Ghostbusters lines will be long, you need to be there 40mins before it starts. I've been locked out twice for those times.
