  • im looking to save the most money possible. not trying to go over 80 a month

    • Kogan sim cards, usually $5 a sim card with 40GB each.
If you have an old phone, hook that up to an old phone, use it as a wifi hot spot + $9 xiaomi repeater (USB powered)

Repeater covers up to 25m easily

      • do i just cancel the old sim and make a new one? is that fine, am i allowed and does it stop allowing me after a while?

when you register the new sim you need to add CC details.
immediately turn off auto-repayment /delete CC details on the old sim.
          use sim for the month.
          throw away old sim.
          make new sim

      • can u help me find the xioami one, i found one but its for $20

        • Shopro $20 is for local stock, it will be around $12 if you can wait a month for delivery from China

Shopro has sold for $10 or $11 when on special in the past

      • How do you do this every month?

New credit card details every month or something else?

I just realized I have a few spare old phones lying around I could do this with if my internet bill ever gets too expensive or if I need more data on the go and reduce my primary mobile plan to something more efficient money wise.

        • New credit card details every month or something else?

Each CC number can accept up to 5 kogan activations.
I have a heck load of visa prepaid cards :)
Otherwise.. cc supplementary cards for amex definitely have different card numbers on them.
If you're really that desperate - you can always "lose" your amex card to get a new number every now and then

          • @cwongtech: I could do it for my westpac debit card but changing all the payment details again on all my devices and websites would get tiresome.

Especially when some websites don't have good auto fill integration.

Hmm I guess it is a cool idea though.

Maybe I should open another account with another bank.

What is a good bank that does free debit card accounts.

            • @AlienC: Suncorp and NAB.
Heck, if you screw up Suncorp online applications you get two cards :)

Just a joke. But I might suggest using capital letters at the start of your sentences, use "you" instead of "u", apostrophes where appropriate, and punctuation marks such as full stops at the ends of all your sentences.

I might be old school and I certainly make many mistakes, but I think it would make your writing clearer. From your other posts it looks like you're a uni student, so it might be good practice.

Feel free to reject my advice. The English language continues to evolve, despite my displeasure.

  • What's the issue with opticomm? I recently had a problem with them, took a while to fix, but it did happen… In the end.

    • its the only thing in my area, im looking for isps.

      • iiNet. It's expensive but they get it up and going in 24 hours. I'm in an opticomm area too. iiNet do a no contract service. I pay 119$ pm 1000g 100/40. They do cheaper plans.

        • thats what i was on.

          cant afford it anymore.

but thanks i got a solution, gonna do 40gb sim.
