    Thanks for all the info!!!

  • Do any of the bluetooth transmitter models allow aptX connections for 2 sets of headphones at once?

    • Unfortunately, aptX-LL doesn't work in dual pair mode.

      • avantree priva 3 does

      • I'm confused as to what is/isn't possible. It says you can pair 2 headphones. What is aptX-LL? is that something like HD audio?

  • We need a discount code on the BHO-52 .
Keen to pick up a couple of pairs.

    • +1

Hi Mate, I don't have a code for the BH052's right now but I hope I will be able to get a new deal very soon.

If you or anybody else would like to be notified when I have a deal for any TaoTronics, VAVA, HooToo, Anjou, Sable or RAVPower product please send me a private message with the product in the title and I will be happy to let you know :)

    • +1

Hey Mate, I have just uploaded a Massive sale for TaoTronics Headphones & Earphones that included the BH052's

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/451742

      • awesome. picking up a few bluetooth earphones as well.

  • Would any of this work in a 2004 Saab 9-3? The car doesnt have any aux input or Bluetooth capability in its standard audio system, so is there a way to transmit audio from my mobile to the car speakers using the factory system? Thanks in advance.

    • +2

They all require a 3.5mm Aux Port to connect to your cars stereo.

If your cars stereo has a cassette player you could use one of these. Otherwise it might be time to update your cars sound system.

I remember using one of those connected to a portable CD player and thinking it was the best thing ever, until I hit a bump.

      • Thanks for that. Unfortunately it does not have a cassette player but has CD instead & updating the cars system isnt an option as the system is tied into the steering controls & other stuff from what ive read plus there isnt any dash kits available to fit an aftermarket unit either.

        • +1

you can look into a DIY solution (that an auto electrician or audio installer would be able to do for you)

if the factory system had the option of a CD stacker, you can quite often hack the input for the stacker to be an aux in with some simple soldering. once you have an aux-in, anything with a headphone cable becomes an input.

it depends on your specific model as to the how, but it can definitely be done in most cars if you have the know-how.

          • @Laserface: Yes, many older car stereo's will have some sort of aux input, it just might not look familiar.

    • +2

You could use an FM transmitter, they are not always very good if there are lots of other stations but it might be your only option.

      • The Xiaomi RoidMi 2S and 3S will plug in your cigarette lighter and won't require an aux. I have a 2S, and if you close the windows and talk loud it works relatively well as a hands free, but isnt anywhere as good as a wired option. For listening to music and podcasts its fine IMO, which considering you are using the original stereo I expect will be fine for you.

One thing to note is the 2S does not fit every car, but I have used it in a Hyundai, Toyota and Nissan and it fit all 3. Does not work in Falcon.

The 3S apparently doesnt have hands free functionality but i havent used one. It fits everything thought.

    • Was in the same situation as you recently. You want this.
      https://www.amazon.com.au/FirstE-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Wirel…

  • Any ideas on the run time for the aptx trans/recv?

    • Hi Mate, The BA08 has a battery that will last for 20 hours.

  • How does this compare?
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Sim…
    Looks similar but bigger battery?

    • The TaoTronics one is nearly half the size and has controls for volume, skipping tracks etc. which makes it great for using in your car, on planes and travelling.

    • 38Hours transmit and 30 hours receive is great. My BR009 doesn't get the advertised 15 hours but is close. The Taotronics TX model when receiving are not as good as any other receiver I have, or any of the Taotronic bluetooth earbud headphones I also own.

Considering this Nulaxy unit also claims 15 metres vs the 10 metres that the base units claim, I might give one a go.

As xev has mentioned, oddly it does not appear to have any volume control. With the BR009 the volume control adjust the volume of the source bluetooth device if it can, otherwise it appears to have it's own preamp volume control (You won't get any louder result either way, but you do lose remote volume control). This is only a positive if using a transmitter with it's own preamp volume control which none of the Taotronics units have anyway.

As a transmitter it seems the better buy compared to the more expensive Taotronics units, as long as you don't need a digital connection for some reason.

Outdoors all units seem to do much better than the 10 metres they advertise, so claiming 15 metres may be awesome in my case. There are long range units available but they usually cost $80+.

EDIT: I just noticed this transmitter is also available locally now and claims a 50 foot range for $27.99, and has APTX-LL.

TaoTronics Bluetooth Car Kit is great for cars with a 3.5mm input but no bluetooth. The best feature is when the phone auto connects to the bluetooth only when the car engine is running.

  • Any bluetooth car receiver kits for cars without 3.5mm

    • What would you use to connect to the car sound system?

      • I guess it would need to be a fm transmitter

  • What's the difference between Vaya and TaoTronics phone mount?

    • They are made by the same people, just released under different brand names.

  • Any deals on a 30 pin bluetooth adapter for an old iphone dock? Want something reasonable quality not a $5 ebay special that takes longer to arrive than it works for

    • This is the male iPhone cable/dock onto a female Bluetooth?
If you find one please let me know.
You can feed Android songs via Bluetooth to this setup?

Still waiting for Bluetooth 5.0 transmitters (available to the US amazon)

  • Any suggestion for a bluetooth receiver without a battery? I want it to switch off automatically when the power source turns off.

I want to hook up my PC speakers to bluetooth, so I don't have to plug them into my laptop.

    • The BR04 would work for you, it was designed for cars but will work with computers as well.

It will turn off when it no longer has power and automatically repair when it does.

  • I'm after a Bluetooth transmitter that has an optical input. Can anyone suggest something cheap?

    • +1

The TT-BA09 has optical connections. Send me a private message if you would like me to notify you the next time I have a deal.

      • does that have APTXHD as well? How's it compare to Avantree?

        • The BA09 has aptX-ll as well.

I am not familiar with Avantree so would be unable to compare

      • I’m also after the exact same thing. Can I also be notified should a deal come up? :)

        • If you or anybody else would like to be notified when I have a deal for any TaoTronics, VAVA, HooToo, Anjou, Sable or RAVPower product please send me a private message with the product in the title and I will be happy to let you know :)

    Thanks OP
    Grabbed one for my Ute.
    Cheers

  • Is the car kit for live streaming YouTube via mobile phone in car?

    • Yes, they will play whatever you transmit to them.

  • I have a similar thing in my car. Unfortunately I can't charge them while playing music. They make a high frequency sound come out of the speakers… Any advice or is that dependent on the transmitter?

    • +1

Is that with an aux input one or an FM transmitter? I've had that issue with a Jabra FM transmitter but have no issue charging the phone while connected to this. There is no analogue connection to cause interference - phone is charged, phone connects to the BR04 via Bluetooth, which in turn connects to the car via 3.5mm audio. I have one of these and use it with my phone charging all the time.

    • Unfortunately I can't charge them while playing music. They make a high frequency sound come out of the speakers

Sounds like a ground loop problem. Just get one of these and plug it inline.

      • +1

Thanks. Ordered one. Worth a try for a couple of bucks :)

  • the link is incorrect for VAVA VA-SH028 Magnetic Phone Holder for Car Air Vent(amazon.com.au) Was $16.99 Now $12.99 With Code:9OSZ293V

it doesnt show any vent-mounted holder, only dashboard. Im after the vent mounted version, do you have that available?

    • I apologize, Mate, I wrote the wrong thing.

They do have a vent mounted one, the VA-SH026 but it is out of stock at present.

Their other vent mounted phone holder is the VA-SH022 in this post, it is pretty good and the one I use in my car.

  • +1

got the BR-04 Last time! Great little bit of tech

  • Hi guys, my tv got optical digital out so how can I work Bluetooth device on my tv?
    Regards

    • The TaoTronics BA09 has optical connections, both in & out, that should work well for you.

  • Damn, I just ordered a TT-BR04 on Thursday. Is there any way I can get a price adjustment on my order, or should I return the first order and make another?

    • Contact Amazon about that, they have done so before so you might get lucky.

      • Good idea, Amazon just applied the discount as a credit to my account. Thanks for the bargain!

  • What's the difference between TT-BA08 / TT-BR009?
BR009 looks smaller and better, any hardware difference other than battery capacity?

    • They are of similar size. The BR009 is just a receiver but has a mic while the BA08 is both a transmitter & receiver and does not have a mic.

      • +1

Good idea, Amazon just applied the discount as a credit to my account. Thanks for the bargain!

  • Do any of the units have automatic power on when plugged into the charger?

i.e., it would be ideal for it to have it plugged into the car usb port, and when car ignition is switched on, the unit also automatically powers on.

    • The BR04 automatically turns on when you turn on your car, and off when you turn your car off.

It will also automatically re-pair with your phone.

      • Hmmm what about the BA08? Thanks!

        • The BA08 has a battery but you can leave it permanently connected to the USB charging cable if you like.

          • @xev: And permanently turned on and receiving in the car?

            • @donamique: Yes, it will only turn off if you turn it off or the battery runs flat.

              • @xev: Sorry probably dumb question but would it be hard on the device and battery if it’s always plugged in and the device always on?

                • +1

@donamique: I have had the BA09 into the USB for 8-9 months now with no issue, you shouldn't have any issue with the BA08 either.

If you do have a problem the BA08 is covered by a 12-month warranty with a free 18 month extended warranty on top.

  • Anyone used this with 2 Bluetooth headphones paired, connected and used simultaneously? If connected to TV does it power up by usb cable? I am looking for a seamless experience with two headphones connected at the same time to enjoy some good movie time with wifey, without having to worry about waking the kids up…

    • You can pair two headphones together at the same time with the BA08, it is powered by a Micro USB cable and has a battery as well. You can leave it permanently connected to the USB if you like.

      • +2

And there will be no lag or noise/interference for both sound streams over the two headphones..?

        • I want to know the same. One of the reviews talk about lag while playing from TV.

  • +1

I will give TaoTronics TT-BR04 Bluetooth Receiver Car Kit and VAVA VA-SH022 Auto-Release Phone Car Cradle for Air Vent a try.

Much prefer magnetic holders but killing wireless charging is a deal breaker.

  • I need a bluetooth receiver that can be connnected directly to the charger instead of holding charge couple hours. There are quality items on ebay for 7 bucks doing the same job. i,e :https://ibolt.co/car-docks/smartphone-mounts/iphone-6s-6s-plus/charge-play-usb-charger-with-integrated-bluetooth-audio-to-3-5mm-aux-in-car-docks-phone-mounts-holders

now that is a product one can use for bluetooth if there is an auxiliary input in the car. Do you have a similar item??

    thanks.

    • The BR04 comes with a Dual USB Car Charger. You can plug the BR04 into one port and your phone into the other.

  • Any discount available for the Soundbar? Picked one up in the last sale and very happy with it.

    https://www.amazon.com.au/TaoTronics-Computer-Speakers-Sound…

  • Any discount for BH-052 bluetooth earbuds?

  • Can you pair two of TaoTronics TT-BA08 Bluetooth Transmitter & Receiver together? 1 Transmitter connected to 3.5mm Audio source, the other with a 3.5mm audio output?

    1. Will the TT-BA01 charge from the TV USB port?
    2. Will TT-BA01 will work with a TT-BH042
    3. Any deals on TT-BH042
  • So can you have two TT-BA08's and use one with a lav microphone and the other into a recording device? (turns it into a wireless lapel mic)

    • The Taotronics won't be able to supply power to the lav mic, and in any case the mic-level signal would be too low for the TT's line-level input.

Maybe get one of these instead? Or a proper UHF-based system, although those cost heaps more.

  • Would this work for a Nintendo switch?

  • Hope to see taotronics led grow light bulbs at some point

  • With the code, I got it for $34.93, including shipping. It will be very handy with my Airplane Earphone Adapter and my Bose wireless headphones when traveling.

  • I ordered the TT08 from this deal, arrived quickly. Since read on other deals here that aptX isn't supported in receive mode. I did some comparisons to my analogue dishes with the TT08 using Bluetooth and 3.5mm socket, the latter was borosilicate more rich.

Did some research noticed that the CSR8675 SOC supports aptX HD in receive mode so ordered this Vikefon unit https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32947646197.html for US$32.

It has two external antenna for longer range, larger battery and LED to indicate codec.

    • I did some comparisons to my analogue dishes with the TT08 using Bluetooth and 3.5mm socket, the latter was borosilicate more rich.

Where did you get your borosilicate dishes from? Pyrex kitchenware is soda lime nowadays, gotta get their labware for borosilicate. And yes you have to be rich to buy them!

      • +1

        Ha! Noticeably more rich.

  • +1

    Mine arrived today.
Super simple to set up & it’s tiny.
    Sound quality is perfect.
Keen to see how it works over time.
    Tks again OP

  • Got my TaoTronics TT-BR04 Bluetooth Receiver Car Kit and VAVA VA-SH022 Auto-Release Phone Car Cradle for Air Vent today.

My initial impression is that both seem excellent! Sound quality of music was good, and phone holder seemed solid and well made and small.

My car has power and AUX in the glovebox so just put it in there, will use the cars existing Blutooth for phone audio as doesn't do music.

  • Hey are you guys going to have the Computer Soundbar on promo again? im a bit late to the party, but it's something i really have an eye on

  • Just tried my BR04 Bluetooth car kit however voice calls come through very softly compared to audio playback.

So when i get a call, i have to crank the car radio then once the call ends i have to drop the volume right back down on the headunit otherwise my music will be way too loud.

Volume is maxed on my iphone 8 and also verified by pressing the volume up button numerous times on the BR04 before and during the phone call.

I have also switched the device on/off to save the volume settings (press volume up on the unit until volume maxed, then switch on/off to save setting)

As it is, it is extremely inconvenient to use.

    Any fix for this?
