9360 is the 2017 model. It does come with 1x Thunderbolt 3 port and 2x USB 3.0 ports.

I've had this since the start of 2017 and it's still doing really well. Battery life has degraded, but I used to be able to get 8-10 hours on a full charge with just web-browsing/watching videos.

In terms of looks, the XPS 13 looks way better than the X1 Carbon. The X1 Carbon is a little more powerful than the base XPS 13, but it isn't worth the almost $500 price difference. Unless you need 4G LTE on your laptop, go for the XPS 13.

      • Thanks for the infor. Will not pull the trigger… Battery life is critical for me… looks like T480 with an internal 24Wh + external 72Wh is the way to go.

      • thanks for the feedback. 16g i7 model is pretty much same price. Which one is better for programmer?

      • Curious why is it better? The X1 Carbon is a nice laptop, I went from a XPS 15 to the X1 Carbon and prefer the Carbon. The keyboard is better, the screen is better, the port options are better, and lastly the look is better.

      • Hi meista, about to pull the trigger on the 16gb one in OP. Are you able to charge through the thunderbolt by chance?

        • +1

@cartwheelz626 Yup! I have it hooked up to a USB-C monitor that supplies power + display output.

          • @meista: Sweet, thanks mate. I will bite the bullet ! ps Do you have the i5 8gb / i7 16gb ? I have read some reviews that say that 8 is more than enough; but I am looking at some photo editing / occasional video / VM etc so was leaning towards the 16…

@cartwheelz623: Get the 16 GB if you want to photo/video edit, definitely worth the difference in price.

    • which one is good for work/programming?

Neither, I found Huawei Matebook X Pro's 3:2 aspect ratio screen good for browsing long codeing in editor.

      • thanks.
        Can it compatible with Ubuntu?

      • The ebay link didn't show the spec. How is the graphic card and memory? Looks like it always requires a docking station for video extension.

How is the graphic card and memory?

          GPU: NVIDIA® GeForce® MX150 with 2 GB GDDR5 / Intel® UHD Graphics 620

Huawei MateBook X Pro specs here

If your monitor do have a Thumderbolt 3/USB-C video input, you can output the video direct to the monitor.

          • @O O: i think it should be able to use universal type c docking station

    Intel graphics card….no thanks

  • Beware all XPS 9360 Models with 8gen Processor use PWM. And it make you feel bad in extended period of time even if you are not sensitive. The 9360 Models with 7th gen are all flicker free. Shame they downgraded the panel and the way to control brightness.

      What does that mean ?

  • How do these compare to Zenbook 14s which are similarly priced
