Damn. USB C, NFC AND 3.5mm jack? Coupled with a battery as big as the one in my current phone, really making me wonder what's wrong with this thing.

    • Risk of battery exploding?

      • Well, it's no bigger than my current, non-exploded phone. So I'd hope not! Still, guess it's a possibility with a no-name company like this.

        • which brand/model is your current phone

        No only Samsung's explode…

          I've got Samsung w 5000mah battery and hasnt exploded yet… ;)

The software and support. I've had a few UMIDIGI devices that haven't been updated, and they came packaged with a few dodgy apps (even a couple that google play warned me about and automatically uninstalled)

What's the catch? seems way too good to be true.

      MediaTek Helio P35

I would imagine if it had a Snapdragon in it, it would be $100+ more

    • I'm going to guess the software and support are poor.

But on pure hardware yeah, nice.

  • Is this better than the UMIDIGI F1? I got one for around $220 AUD after cashback from this deal- https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/447060

    • This seems better as 128gb storage vs 64 storage. Have you received the phone yet?

      • It was possible to get the F1 for $212 delivered after cash back. I got one and it has 128gb storage and it's awesome. I think it is exactly the same as this Power model, but the CPU is a Helio P60 instead.

        • Also, my F1 is red, but that isn't a colour choice for this Power model.

          • @scottySK: have they got their own OS like oppo's color os ?

            • @JAY13: Check out both of their screenshot, one of the photos indicating stock android 9.

              • @aladdin: yeah the android version is 9 but some companies use their own software skin with android version.

@JAY13: It runs a 99.9% stock android with the only change I see is with the implementation of gestures. I used the phone for 3 days on a single charge and got 10+ hours screen on time, mostly browsing the net with some video watching, camera use (maybe 100 photos) and 15 minutes of GPS. The screen is amazing as well, and the build feels premium. Really love the feel of this plastic back opposed to glass phones, and the phone feels thinner than I thought it would. CPU is snappy but I don't play games so really I can't tell it's only a mid-range CPU. Only con is the camera is as you would expect from this price of phone. All other aspects feel like a $600+ phone. I still can't believe I got it for around $200 mark delivered. I just hope it lasts, durability is probably the issue Umidigi faces, I doubt it will ever get updates

Have you received the phone yet? If possible for you to give us brief review how you think about the phone? Thanks

  • Ummm… Digi?

  • Interesting. What is Umidigi's reputation?

I started the shopaholic's 12 step program this morning so I won't be getting one.

    • Pretty bad in terms of software update but very good hardware wise for the money. They almost always include B28 and NFC though, but use Mediatek SoC for cost cutting. Umidigi is also a small start-up like company so support would be limited.
