  • Price..?

  • Hey Op, you might want to whack the price in the Title

  • noice!

Thought this was going to be a laptop

    • Yeah this is about the same price as the G7 15" which has the same specs (i7-8700, RTX2070)

  • +1

Ok price for branded pc but techfast deals have spoiled us on OzBargain with their pre built pc deals

Pretty sure I can build an i5-9600K + 2080 Ti system for this much …

That would be a good gaming PC.

      • -1

        How much ram and storage?

    • Techfast can no longer offer those prices. Plus they arent taking part in the 20% max $1,000 deals anymore. They have increased prices of most of their builds as well since returning.

This isn't that cheap. I guess it is if you value a pre built system. Pc part picker comes out much cheaper with higher specs like water cooling and a better case and power supply.

I worked it out with part picker and part picker comes out more expensive and you have to put it together yourself.

    • Especially when 9th gen intel already been released.. when your spending that much on a pc Midas well get the latest cpu

  • +1

This one includes a screen, keyboard and battery and is under 2.5kg for almost the same $

both laptop and desktop have their own merit. So not really a good comparison here.

      • The merit of a desktop is usually that it is cheaper or you get better specs.

    • +1

Good point. But did you know this desktop comes with no boundaries?

  • I have recently built myself a better spec computer than this for under $2k

    • Can you please share what parts you used in your setup?

Hey Jimmy: The parts are as follows: It took me 4 months to gather the components waiting for ebay sales and ebay gift cards - I'll update the components with prices as I scroll back through my receipts - I did post some of the deals on Ozbargin or comment when it was a sale and part I needed)
        - Case : Nzxt 500( White)
        - CPU: i5 9700K
        - GPU: Gigabyte Geforce 2070 Windforce (Bought from Computer Alliance boxing day sale: $619 + Battlefield V + Coles $25 gift card
        - Motherboard: Z390 Aorus Pro - (received a $20 gift card with this one) - didn't buy this one on sale
        - RAM: 2 x 8GB: Trident RGB 3000Mz (bought Newegg for $158.000)
        - Power: Corsair Gold 650 modular
        - Samsung 970 500GB (Samsung rebate $45 + I had a free $5 Ebay card) - This worked out to be $120.00 for me
        - Cool Master ML240R RGB ($115)
        - Blackwidow green switch Mechanical keyboard (MSY sale $145)
        - I have a free copy of Win 10 Pro from work that I loaded on with Office 365- I have an 8TB Hard drive from my old computer

Machine runs fantastic, cool quiet and the temper glass viewing screen - very pretty with the all the RGB
