    "Fresh"

  • Never see such price for "Fresh" bananas in WA. Do they have a store in WA?

    • QLD too

They're one day away from being mushy, overripe blobs. The good thing at least is you can dump them in the freezer as a frozen snack or smoothies.

    • I peel the bananas and wrap them in foil . Seem to keep very well in the freezer .

        Foil, for the freezer??

      • wot?

    • They have more than 1 day left

      Perfect for bread flavoured banana

      • butter flavoured banana

  • What's with all these banana deals lately? And why don't we get these deals in Sydney where I live? It would be great to buy 1-2 ripe bananas a day only when you need them.

Even Woolworths' own brand banana breads are half-priced this week.

    • My friend was given a whole box of free bananas today!

The banana bread discount would be unrelated but we're having a bumper crop. Trees fruiting extremely well, good weather conditions for growing.

    • Short term oversupply problem after a small supply hiatus due nth qld rain.

You know Miranda is in Sydney right?

  • Good times - I like those bananas black, soft and easy to peel.

Why's everyone commenting on the freshness of those bananas? Those look like optimal ripeness for consumption for me, and the rest can be frozen. If they don't have spots on them they're starchy and they can constipate you.

Nice bargain for over ripe banana's that surely by looks in a pic deserve to be in the bin . Some people have no quality control LOL .

Hint : reason why they are 29 c a kg , bin quality to help you out .

Over ripe bananas are almost all black..and can still be used for desserts and smoothies.
But sure…throw out perfectly good food. Because you know…food waste.

From white to green, yellow then black, make them more GMO then you can get any colour. I’d give from op posts these bananas will last around 5-6 days before going completely black.

  • People that don't think these are 'fresh' is the reason there is so much food WASTE in this world. They are fine and perfect to eat. Just because you like your steam cooked well done doesn't mean others do. It's still steak. It's still edible. But if you want to pay 10x this price for 'green' and 'flourey' bananas…go right ahead.

Very true but for me the only reason I wouldn’t purchase these coz I prefer them really yellow, I don’t like it to sweet and mushy spotted yellow, I like more of the banana feel… I mean taste. But these are still best for smoothies don’t need to add honey as it has so much sugar content when it’s to ripe.

      • yup…and even if you arne't someone that likes them at all in any way like this….they are still people that do..and are happy to pay less for ready to eat ones. So crazy some people think good best is best binned :-(
