Make sure the head unit you buy is compatible with your MB speaker wiring. My C209 has optical fibre cabling so to change the head unit I also need to either get a head unit with optic fibre connections, or rewire all of the speakers - not a cheap job.
Doesn't the W204 have a Comand 4/4.5 system? That's not a swap in swap out solution. There might be some dodgy chinese units that fit, but certainly nothing with official car play.
This, you are going to get some god awful thing for $400 that will probably make you lose half the functions in your car.
It won’t even fit. There is no way to mount a standard DIN in a Mercedes. It’s a widescreen installed across the dash, and it’s not a touch screen.
Is it just the same crappy motorised thing they've had for ages?
@brendanm: Oh you’re right I might be confusing it with the later C class and E class. A 2013 is pretty old.
@[Deactivated]: Just had a look on Google and you were on the money. They did a facelift in 2012. You can actually get a Chinese radio thing for it though haha:

Found out this Sony one does fit the 2013 Merc W204, along with new head unit, cable harness/ steering wheel , rear camera quoted $800.
I checked a few sources and the new WiFi model Pioneer DMH-Z6350BR with Aerpro wiring harness and special faceplate will fit my Merc, the faceplate to suit my model is not in stock yet but will be next month, have ordered the lot from a local Carplay installer.

Has wireless carplay and Android auto which uses the Android 10 interface.We looked at that design of Carplay, don't like it sticking out of dash. The installers have assured us the new model Pioneer DMHZ60500BT (with rear camera) will fit the Merc. W204 NG 4.5, but larger screen at 6.8". It has every feature we want including WiFi, voice commands and steering wheel controls.
DMP are well known due to Flex reviews / instals on youtube, but its USD and probably no international warranty, we don't buy anything over $200 from OS. Can buy similar 10"+ units here but exy.
