If OP got an iPhone they’d be happy with it. The only downside is price - they hold their value, have a stable OS, receive updates for years and Apple support is great.

  • I read somewhere that Sony are getting out of the smartphone market in Australia.

Can't go wrong with the s10.

    Maybe add a poll.

    • Yes, Sony have stopped marketing their new phones in Australia.
Why Sony silently stopped selling phones in Australia

I haven't seen HTC phones on sale in Australia for a while either.

Both brands may be obtained on the grey market, but I doubt many OzBargainers have held these models in their hands.

    • Yeh Sony is way behind.

OnePlus (insert whatever is their newest model here)

  • One Plus 6/6T will be the best value for money,
    else go with Google Pixel,
s10 is not that bad, if you want to stick to your list.

  • Pixel 2XL

  • I have an S9 plus and the wife has a Pixel.

Haven't had a Samsung since the S3 and I can tell you they've come a long way.

Build quality, camera, display, functions, software all superior to the Pixel.

I would suggest S10 or S10+, both would be excellent.

  • Look at some of the YouTube videos on Unbox Therapy. He's always reviewing and comparing phones.
