I received the email earlier this morning.

Grill'd Relish members latest promotion:

Will you donate a meal to someone doing it tough in our cities or take a free burger?
Be quick, you’ve only got until 11.59pm Tuesday 30 April to make your choice!*

*If you choose to take your free burger, it is valid for dine-in only to use at any Grill’d restaurant until close of restaurant on Wednesday 1 May 2019.

Silence those hunger pains and head in before close of restaurant tomorrow to claim it.

Offer is valid for one (1) free main item* at any Grill’d restaurant, dine-in only. Additional toppings at extra cost. Offer expires on Wednesday 1 May 2019 at restaurant closure times (refer to website for operation hours).

    The Donate or Take offer was sent to a select group of Relish members who have purchased and scanned in the last 6 months. The offer is a limited offer and is a separate, although similar offer, to the 8 & Donate mechanic that the full relish program.

      You guys should do buy 1 get 1 free offers from time to time. Then I don't feel so guilty blowing $30 P/H on burger, fries and a beer and will visit more often buying at full price.

    1. When you have completed your eighth transaction you will receive communication from us, with an invitation to make the choice:

    •Donate a meal to someone doing it tough in our cities through Vinnies Food Services; or
    •Take a free Burger, Salad or Super Sliders from our menu (“Take”). If you decide to Take your free burger, your free burger coupon offer will be accessible in your Grill’d App and will be emailed to you, to use at any Grill’d restaurant within four (4) weeks of issue. Dine-in only.

    1. You have six (6) months from the date you achieve the eighth badge to decide whether to ‘Donate’ or ‘Take’. If you do not decide within this time, we will automatically donate the burger on your behalf.

        Yep, that's exactly the logic I applied.

        The free meal they give to Vinnies will be a lot cheaper than one of their burgers. Even if you value the burger only at 1/2 price, say $7, Vinnies can probably give out 3 or 4 meals from that money if you donate it to them :-)

        Or just buy a copy of The Big Issue, still win/win.

      For the next one you need to buy 8. Doesn't say "full price" anywhere, wait for 2 for 1 offers if you want to.

      You don't have to do anything, but if you're a frequent customer of theirs and would like the option to either donate food to someone in need, or receive a free burger for yourself, then why not?

        That update only relates to OPs email, not to the ongoing offer.

        If we didn't receive that email, the Real, update & expiry date don't apply. That is it is an Unobtainable Deal for those not targeted.

        But we can qualify to receive the ongoing offer sent in an email today to members, as set out below & discussed already.

            But the ongoing offer is not targeted. Anyone can become a member, buy 8 times & get free purchase.

            Better to have that as the Deal.
            OPs email was likely only received by those who already qualify for the ‘8 and Donate’ program.

                @itsfree: As effectively the same Deal (which would have same Deal Title but different expiry dates & Targeted / not targeted), Mods would probably combine. I've sent them the differing details, so see what happens.

      This is an ongoing offer.

      OP received offer because must have already qualified for it.

      For the rest of us, we need to buy 8 qualifying purchases to receive 1 free qualifying purchase.

      And not expiring tomorrow - have 6 months to claim.

    Not sure, but this definitely is different to the T&C Nitty Gritty of purchasing 8 burgers. I havent had grill'd for a few months. My work colleague received this 'Donate or Take' email around the same time this morning.

    I just went to have the Wagyu Bonfire BBQ burger using the free barcode, bloody brilliant burger!

    "Sorry bud, we're out. We only had 764 burgers donated. Our burgers were just too good to decline. The Vinnies food van is being used at a promotional fundraising event and will be here tomorrow. But as a loyal customer, here's a 10% off voucher instead! Do more for your hunger."
