Do Any of Have a 1300 or 1800 Number? What Company Do You Use for Your Number

Anyone use 1300 or 1800 number?

What company do you use and how much are they.

The one ive found is Telcoworks and its about $5 monthly plan and $5 to lease the number. So a minimum of $120 a year not including calls to the number.

Unless you've got multiple locations and depend on a memorable phone number, no one cares about 1800/1300 numbers.

    • When calling a business, its not professional to call a mobile number. Makes the business look like a one person thing.

a 1300 number at least gives the illusion that it is a viable business with more than 1 person

Maybe not a mobile number but a regular land line is fine.

If I see a 1300/1800 number on a low turnover SME, I just think the business owner is clueless.

        • Is it possible to get a regular land line number the same way it is to get a 1300 number?

@bigballerbrand: You're assigned one by default.

          Clueless in what way?

@Daabido: Spending money and creating an extra item to administer for virtually no gain.

As a business owner, I want simplicity. An added bill here, an added supplier there… it adds up.

Depends on the number of calls you expect to receive.

Maxotel has higher monthly fee $15 but calls are 8c/10c per minute whereas Telcoworks is much higher at 30c a minute (45c for mobile calls). So depends how long you expect the incoming calls to take,

Telcoworks also has higher monthly fee plans with lowered per minute costs

You can check what suits you.
