    What does Excel mean?

      What does Excel mean?

      verb
be exceptionally good at or proficient in an activity or subject

So it seems some states get the better cut.

      • Ah Excluding. I thought Except.

    • it means use Microsoft Excel to open the deal

    Yeah nah

Am I out of touch with reality?

  • It means you need a cell formula to figure out the shipping cost lol

$50 a kilo for eye fillet is a bargain? Do you cook them for us at that price and include our choice of chips or mash?
    $12.98/kg when on special at T-Bones Aspley….

Meat must be cheap in QLD.
Coles is $44/kg for standard eye fillet, last butcher I went to was ~$55/kg for grass fed and non-grass fed rump was $21/kg.

Dont worry about it, this thread always brings out the people complaining it is too expensive and comparing it to their local meat shop. For some reason people think all Butchers are created equel and use top shelf meat, this isnt the case. I prefer Sutton over my local butcher thats for sure!

        • +1

LOL why are you comparing eye fillets to goddamn t-bone steak…

          • @tonyjzx: T-bones is the name of the supermarket.
Just had a look and they currently have porterhouse on special for $9.99/kg!

            • @mapax: I get that however you must know that different cuts of meat have different prices. $50 is fair enough for rib eye. I dont mind it however I find it actually too soft. But that flavour…

              • @tonyjzx: Isn't rib eye just another name for scotch fillet? Usually can be picked up for about $20/kg at supermarkets.
Also isn't half of t bone essentially eye fillet meat?

                • @tensionday: Rib eye is scotch fillet with the bone attached
A tbone has the porterhouse or sirloin on one side and the eye fillet on the other (the smaller size)

*I used to work at a steak house

  • Can you explain the shipping temperature/refrigeration situation given Aus Post don't always deliver? I presume express post is necessary but if the postie just drops a card, there might be a couple of days, possibly an extra weekend involved.

Mine get left at my door and there is enough ice and cold packs in there to keep a penguin alive for a week :)

      • +2

They sell live penguins as well? AWESOME!

Be keen to try them, but not at 50kg. If there was a cheaper way to try them be great.
Looking for good eye fillet. local butchers are average near me.

  • If we're talking about quality, this is quality - http://www.mayurastation.com

      • I think 1 of the premium butcher at Vic Market carries them
