You guys don't have a version of this that tracks energy usage do you? I have one of these and it was great for making my window box aircon "smart"ish over summer… but would have liked to see the actual consumption too…

    • No this version doesn't have energy monitoring, but it is tuya/ smartlife compatible if you're familiar on how to do that.

  • Would be great to have this in Zigbee or Zwave. Definitely not so good in wifi format when you want a few of these!

    • Why it’s not so good in wifi? I have more than 10 sonoff devices in wifi without issue

      • Routers generally don't handle more than 30 devices very well, however if you only have 5 other wifi devices, 10 sonoff shouldn't pose too much of a problem. With energy consumption metering, there are several schools of thought regarding wifi and zigbee/zwave platforms - one provides greater bandwidth for data, the other consumes less bandwidth so doesn't impact other devices, etc…

you can always run your smart home off a different network etc.

You are right. I have 26-33 wifi devices and had some issues before. I have no issue after using unifi gateway and wifi AP

      • there are Aus certified Sonoff switches now?

  • What does the USB port output?

    • 2.4A

  • Does ir support home assistant (hassio)?

    • it can be used with tuya so you can use HA that way,

  • Thanks OP been waiting for a deal on these :)

    • awesome to hear!!

  • Hi OP, I bought this while back 3 of them and the first one that i bought dead cannot turn ON, is there anyway to reset it?

    • sorry to hear that,
If there are any issues please contact the storefront though amazon,

  • This or the TP-Link one.in the market for couple of this

  • Can I link this into something like IFTTT to turn on a couple of lights / a fan etc?

I dont have an Alexa or Google Home

Edit: NVM, it has it's own app and I see the IFTTT logo on the listing :)

    • Yes it is supported by IFTTT

      • Will it work without a hub?

        • +1

Yes no hub required, as it is a Wifi Device,

Does this work with google mini and how does this compare to other similar devices that do same thing as not got any of these yet. It seems everyone everywhere sell these now but is this good or better than others and why.

  • Looks like its aold out now?

  • I have an Echo Plus which apparently does Zigbee. How do I get my Xiaomi Power Plug (Zigbee version) to connect?

  • Are the USB ports always on or Smart controlled as well?

  • +1

The Tuya compatible smart plug from Bunnings ("Brilliant" brand) is <$20 but only has 1 USB port. Worth considering if you don't want to pay postage. The bulgy bit is above the plug so won't block adjacent plugs like this one will.

    • Cool i have no clue about these things i check bunnings one out so are you saying these ones on here are issues with plugging into another sock next to it? But do they do the same if not more or less.

      • The chipset in the Bunnings one and this one are likely the same - made by Tuya and use the same Tuya software. So functionally the same I'd guess (not having used this one).

Shipping is not free with Amazon Prime.

Instead, shipping is more expensive than the device itself!

    • $40 with delivery :-(

  • Anyone actually get this to work?

I can power it up and sometimes get it into pairing mode by holding down the power button until the red light flashes… but when I do, the Smart Life app doesn't see it.

    :(

    • Any luck? Mine gets to “initialising device” then falls over “failed to add device” etc.

      • No luck for me. I've sent it back.
