Cashback will move from pending to approved at 30 days from signup. If your Apple Music subscription is cancelled prior to 30 days, Cashback will be declined.

You must be a new Apple Music customer who has not taken up a trial previously. If you don't have one, create a new Apple ID and add a payment method (PayPal etc) prior to commencing. The only ways to acquire this cashback is via the methods below.

From an iPhone/iPad/iPod:

  • Open Settings/Safari and turn off Prevent Cross-Site Tracking.
  • Open Safari, navigate to cashrewards.com.au and log into your Cashrewards account.
  • Search for Apple Music and click the orange bar, or simply click here.
  • Click Shop Now and you will be redirected to 'open this page in Music' then this popup.
  • If you see this instead, you're a return customer and not eligible.
  • Select Individual or Family, click Start Trial, and enter your Apple ID (if requested).
  • You're all done, and purchase should track within 24 hours (Apple is a little slower at tracking).

From a desktop browser (requires iTunes install prior to clicking Cashrewards links):

  • If you haven't done so already, install and open iTunes.
  • Open your favourite browser and ensure all AdBlock is off (including Safari Cross-Site Tracking).
  • Navigate to cashrewards.com.au and log into your Cashrewards account.

    The apple music app is trash compared to Spotify. They need to update asap.

      I disagree. I find iTunes on Windows and iOS much easier to use. Whereas, Spotify has always seemed rather clunky to me. iTunes also has 10 million more tracks. Many recent reviews also favour iTunes.

        I play most my music from my phone through Bluetooth speakers/hone theatre systems etc. definitely prefer Spotify over Apple Music. It’s hell of a lot easier to navigate. Apple Music does seem to make better suggests on music I might like but that also might be because my Spotify is polluted with other people’s music suggestions over the years.

    Should I expect to see the $6 credit show up in My Rewards straight away? My iTunes account had no payment method set up, so maybe this tripped it up.

        You only need to do this if you're setting up a brand new Apple ID. If you've previously created an ID and never subscribed to Apple Music, having iTunes credits will suffice.

          nor payment method set up (ie.never previously subscribed to Apple Music) - had to set that up to prior to iTunes granting the 3 month free trial

                @h00tz: Actually. Now that you mention it. My iTunes payment details are probably expired as the accounts about 10 years old and I don’t buy anything on iTunes. Still worked for me.

    Let's say I sign myself up using this and using my Apple ID, it tracks (good). Am I able to let someone else (let's say a sibling) sign up through my PC using the CR site under my CR account but using their Apple ID, will that work? or will it only work for 1 Apple ID and 1 track on CR.

    When you are on the individual trial plan and upgrade to the family plan your trial won't end ^_^. It will say you will be charged monthly straight away, but upon checking my subscription I won't be billed till 3 months later.

        By which you mean, don't create 100s of Apple IDs, and expect not to be caught.

        My question was: could I sign up a second Apple ID (which belongs to my daughter, and was created many years ago) using my own CR account?
        I am guessing the answer is yes (based on your reply above).

    After signing up through cashrewards my click through wasn't tracking either so I lodged a claim after 7 days, after a handful of emails, there's a pending amount of $6 but I'm pretty sure when I clicked through it was $10 for the family trial? Not sure what to do, please advise, thanks
