2470

Our 5th birthday celebrations continue with a hot exclusive offer from Apple Music. A no-brainer here with quite literally $6 free for simply signing up and trialling Apple Music for at least 30 days. Promo is not available via any Android devices or via the Cashrewards Mobile App until further notice. Expiry is open ended but can be withdrawn at any time. Thanks as always for your support and stay tuned for more great deals. Enjoy :)

Cashback will move from pending to approved at 30 days from signup. If your Apple Music subscription is cancelled prior to 30 days, Cashback will be declined.

You must be a new Apple Music customer who has not taken up a trial previously. If you don't have one, create a new Apple ID and add a payment method (PayPal etc) prior to commencing. The only ways to acquire this cashback is via the methods below.

From an iPhone/iPad/iPod:

  • Open Settings/Safari and turn off Prevent Cross-Site Tracking.
  • Open Safari, navigate to cashrewards.com.au and log into your Cashrewards account.
  • Search for Apple Music and click the orange bar, or simply click here.
  • Click Shop Now and you will be redirected to 'open this page in Music' then this popup.
  • If you see this instead, you're a return customer and not eligible.
  • Select Individual or Family, click Start Trial, and enter your Apple ID (if requested).
  • You're all done, and purchase should track within 24 hours (Apple is a little slower at tracking).

From a desktop browser (requires iTunes install prior to clicking Cashrewards links):

  • If you haven't done so already, install and open iTunes.
  • Open your favourite browser and ensure all AdBlock is off (including Safari Cross-Site Tracking).
  • Navigate to cashrewards.com.au and log into your Cashrewards account.
  • Search for Apple Music and click the orange bar, or simply click here.
  • Click Shop Now and you will be redirected to open iTunes.
  • Select Try it now… and you will get this popup.
  • If you see this instead, you're a return customer and not eligible.
  • Select Individual or Family, click Start Trial, and enter your Apple ID (if requested).
  • You're all done, and purchase should track within 24 hours (Apple is a little slower at tracking).

Promo is not available via any Android devices or via the Cashrewards Mobile App until further notice.

Any issues at all, please contact us and we'll do our best to resolve in a timely manner.

Says "Up to $2.00 Cashback" here
This new cashback promotion already on now?

    Excellent offer, Tightarse :)

I'm only being offered a one month free trial.

  •

It says $10, can you pls confirm if it's $6 or $10?

Also, how long it takes to track on cash rewards? cause I did everything as advised but nothing tracked yet

    • +4 votes

Definitely $6. First few would have received $10 as it was still locked to test phase. Thanks.

And please read the OP re tracking.

  •

Thanks TA! Does this have an expiry?

  •

    Done.
    Thanks TA.

  •

I’m seeing different screenshots on my phone to the ones you have posted

Man, cashrewards and shopback are the gift that keep on giving; free $6/$10 + free food from hello fresh + free mobile plans on catch/amaysim

    Thanks @tightarse and @gotyourback

Now I have spotify family (for the google home mini) and apple music for a month lol

  •

Does it have to be an Australian iTunes account?

  •

Mine has tracked, but only as $2; did within 5 minutes of deal being posted.

  •

    COOL THANKS TA

  •

Got lucky with the $10, thanks TA!

  •

If I could cancel straight away I’d do it

  •

Can you play Apple music on an Amazon echo device in Australia?

  • +2 votes

The apple music app is trash compared to Spotify. They need to update asap.

    •

I disagree. I find iTunes on Windows and iOS much easier to use. Whereas, Spotify has always seemed rather clunky to me. iTunes also has 10 million more tracks. Many recent reviews also favour iTunes.

        apple music app

      •

I play most my music from my phone through Bluetooth speakers/hone theatre systems etc. definitely prefer Spotify over Apple Music. It’s hell of a lot easier to navigate. Apple Music does seem to make better suggests on music I might like but that also might be because my Spotify is polluted with other people’s music suggestions over the years.

Anyone else feel dirty for installing this on their PC?

  • +1 vote

Should I expect to see the $6 credit show up in My Rewards straight away? My iTunes account had no payment method set up, so maybe this tripped it up.

    •

Oooh! I just read TA's statement of the need to set up payment method prior to commencing! >.<

      • +2 votes

You only need to do this if you're setting up a brand new Apple ID. If you've previously created an ID and never subscribed to Apple Music, having iTunes credits will suffice.

Great post and instructions. Thanks TA.

Just got tracking email. Thanks TA.

    Can I claim/use through Android?

  •

@OP is it once per cashrewards account or can do it on multiple apple IDs using same cashrewards account?

  •

Does this promo work on windows with iTunes installed?

    •

Sure does. We tested across all scenarios posted in OP.

      • +1 vote

Cool, I was just making sure it wasn't mac only since you mentioned safari.

        •

Mentioned in the OP, but it could have been clearer. So ye, any desktop/laptop OS with iTunes installed is fine:

Open your favourite browser and ensure all AdBlock is off (including Safari Cross-Site Tracking).

  •

Did it a few hours ago but still no tracking email. Should I be concerned, followed instructions in OP.

  •

Let's say I sign myself up using this and using my Apple ID, it tracks (good). Am I able to let someone else (let's say a sibling) sign up through my PC using the CR site under my CR account but using their Apple ID, will that work? or will it only work for 1 Apple ID and 1 track on CR.

    • -1 vote

I’m gonna say it’s probably 1 per CR account but I have no evidence 🤷‍♂️. Just assuming they don’t want you double dipping

  •

When you are on the individual trial plan and upgrade to the family plan your trial won't end ^_^. It will say you will be charged monthly straight away, but upon checking my subscription I won't be billed till 3 months later.

  •

can one cancel the subscription before the 3 months and still qualify for the cash back and will access to apple music end on the day you cancel or still at the end of 3 months?

    •

A no-brainer here with quite literally $6 free for simply signing up and trialling Apple Music for at least 30 days.

Dunno if cancelling will stop trial but you need to have trialed for at least 30 days

  •

$6 to install iTunes? Surely not worth it.

  •

I just did sign up using PC and itunes app. Shall I receive an email from cashrewards confirming the initial tracking of cashback? Of course I understand that it will reflect after a month.

  •

Keep getting this error even though PayPal has been set up. Anyone knows why?

Edit: nvm just realised you have to click "Done" after adding PayPal lol

  •

@tightarse: Are you able to confirm that this is one  Music sign up (i.e. one Apple ID) per Cashrewards account, as part of this promotion? There are other members who are asking the same question above.

    •

It will be ok provided no fraudulent activity takes place, else you risk forfeiting all rewards. Please read our terms of use for more info. Thanks.

      •

provided no fraudulent activity takes place

By which you mean, don't create 100s of Apple IDs, and expect not to be caught.

My question was: could I sign up a second Apple ID (which belongs to my daughter, and was created many years ago) using my own CR account?
I am guessing the answer is yes (based on your reply above).

      •

        Thanks for the confirmation.

  • +3 votes

Thanks TA - I'm glad I never tried Apple Music before now…

  •

I was just about to sign up for 2 months free Spotify when this offer came along. Thanks TA.

  •

Hi TA, did this on Sunday night (6-7pmish) on mine and husbands account separately, but have gotten no tracking for either. Both on the 90 day trial.

    •

Hi there. Provided you've never availed of any Apple Music subscription previously (which would explain the non-track) and followed the instructions in the OP, please lodge a claim after 7 days and ensure you provide the unique Apple ID email addresses for both accounts. Our Member Services team will take care of the rest via Apple. Any issues, you know where to find me :)

      • +1 vote

Yup, I've never subscribed as I am not a music streaming person, it won't let me submit a case as its under 7 days, hopefully I'll remember next week!

  •

wait can you get the family $10 cashback AND also this individual cashback on the same cashrewards account?

  •

    Hi TA,
After signing up through cashrewards my click through wasn't tracking either so I lodged a claim after 7 days, after a handful of emails, there's a pending amount of $6 but I'm pretty sure when I clicked through it was $10 for the family trial? Not sure what to do, please advise, thanks

    •

Please PM me your CR email address and Apple ID, and I'll take a look at this for you. You'll need to turn on messaging in your account settings first :)

  • +1 vote

    The cashback was approved today.
