  Could be just random, it's not that hard to guess the numbers that are used. (that was a joke)

  I got this last night as well, from TXTQuiz. First it was a phone call with a recorded msg about winning a 3D tv by playing a quiz with premium sms. Then when I hung up, it sent me an sms with the quiz question.

  I was really annoyed….

  At the bottom of the sms it says to reply 'STOP' to stop, I believe that is the correct procedure that I have seen and done before. So I did that and will hopefully not get any more messages or calls. However, I am annoyed by details were abused like that and would really like to know which company/website they got it from.

    Yes - apparently the "responsible" spammers have a code of ethics, and will respond to that STOP reply SMS.

    That ACMA site I linked to recommends that as the first step in getting them to stop.

    Unfortunately, with the availability of more free SMS Gateways, it is likely that the incidence of these pathetic, annoying, useless, low-life worms is probably going to increase.
