    6.2" IPS (1570 x 720p)
    SD632 / Adreno 506
    SD slot
    193g brick

    • I wouldn't say it's a brick, I think it's a decent entry level phone for the price (especially if it's anything like the Moto G6 with all the reviews naming the G6 as the best mid range phone).

So, is it just a newer version of the G6, or not, because it sounds like a great phone for my mum, with the large screen and big battery (she spends more time on the phone than I do, so the large battery and screen size would be perfect for her, and I doubt she'd notice the low resolution tbh, with her vision not being all that great).

Ps. I'm really curious how it will be received by reviewers, compared to the G6, when it's released.

$284.05 at Tobydeals (plus 1.5% cashback), in stock. Yes it's grey import - could be worth the extra ~$65 for local warranty I guess.

Still waiting for my G5S to die. Still a great phone.

    • same though i'll jump next time there is a nexus 3a or g7+ deal

  • It's not a pre-order. I've had mine for about a week and a half. The included cover is clear and doesn't add any height for front impact protection. Ingram Micro used Parcel Post for mine.

    • Changed from Pre-Order to Back-Order.

    720p ewwwwwww.

    • +3

720p is to extend battery life ….people buying a battery this big probably due it for run time not size etc ….

      • -2

nah false. It is just Australia being a dumping ground for bad tech.

        $270 AUD

    • I find the resolution quite satisfactory and haven't noticed a situation where I've missed the extra pixels coming back from a FHD 5" phone. What's your use case? 1000 row spreadsheets on your phone?

      • -1

        Actual, yes!

  • Anyone who has purchased a G7 power, how are you finding it? Did you purchase a screen protector, if so where from?
    Much Appreciated!

    • I got a set of two tempered glass screen protectors from Ebay - Melbourne stock.
The camera is definitely mediocre in terms of clarity, but no other disappointments with performance. When I use the phone very sparingly, I can reach five days without charging.

      • Thanks mate.
What phone camera did you have previously? I currently have a Moto G5 (the basic $200 one) and I'm pretty happy with that. Is the G7 power likely to be a step back?

        • I had a Yotaphone 2. Sorry - it's probably not going to be much help. The G7 power camera does alright when the food scene is well illuminated.

  • Anyone waiting on the G7 power from https://store.motorola.com.au/product/moto-g7-power/, Ingram have just told me their stock arrived yesterday so the "2-3 week wait" message is about to disappear.

  • Does anyone know if the G7 Power can do Telstra volte and wifi calling?
