Best Mobile Plan

Currently my work pays for my phone bills through Telstra, but I'm about to leave so I need a phone provider and plan. Kind of wanted to stay with Telstra due to the fact they seem to have the best network coverage but I've just looked at their website and the plans jump from 15G for $49 per month to 60G for $59 per month. I don't need anywhere near 60G per month, I'm not sure how much data I actually use, it's probably around 15G per month but I was hoping for a bit more than that without jumping up in price. I own my own handset so just need a plan. Don't want to go prepaid. Any providers compare to Telstra network and coverage wise? (ie will it actually work in the country?!) I'm in Adelaide by the way. Thanks.

you don't know how to check?
download the telstra 24/7 app and use 4G so you don't have to log in with an account.

now you'll be able to make an informed decision

    • I have the 24/7 app already and my mobile is listed but it says I've used 1.66G of 15G data with 7 days left, however I thought I would have used a lot more than that. I use our wifi when at home usually so it's only when I'm out, or when I'm away on holidays.

      • well get a 5gb plan, its pretty cheap from mvno providers.

    • Wrong - if it's a business phone and/or plan, the 24/7 App may not display correct information properly. It sure as shiit doesn't at my job.

  • I own my own handset so just need a plan. Don't want to go prepaid

Based on that info I would suggest going prepaid but up to you. Check out boost if you change your mind. 20GB for $30pm on full telstra network.

    • What's their network coverage like? Does it work well in the country? I don't want to save money on a plan only to go on holidays and get no service.

Owned by telstra and uses full telstra network. Other telstra network users like aldi, woolworths use a slightly reduced wholesale network.

        • Thanks. I knew that some companies used reduced networks, wasn't sure who though.

          • @natsk80: I live regional and travel quite rural often. I use belong (telstra wholesale) and never have coverage issues.

    Boost = Telstra
    https://boost.com.au/plans/#Long-Expiry
    $150 80GB 12 months.
    done.

    • This.

      • That

        • the other

  • boost, aldi, whatever. or even prepaid on other providers, to see how the networks perform

you arent using tons of internet, so you shouldnt have to spend over $30 a month, or even half that

  • I have used kogan for years and am looking to switch

    Their coverage sucks now

    • I made the switch to Catch and can't complain. 205gb for $170 (plus $16 cashback) over a year.

  • just grab 8x 28-Day amaysim Renewals of 1GB Unlimited Plan $8.46 for calls…grab Kogan-Catch Connect for data.
