How petty must you be to downvote this comment that actually provides good info to potential buyers.

    • youse sick bro

But.. that's the price of a new one on sale.
And even then, it wouldn't be a great price for a new one on sale.

Looking back through deal history I really can't find much lower than $320.

  • Very happy with my refurb - besides the tape holding the box closed not being original the phones were otherwise brand new. Other people have had bad luck getting used devices so YMMV.

    • Would suck only saving a few dollars to find you are getting a used device. Also not knowing if they are actually brand new or used only once by a sweaty guy.

      • This is your view which is valid. A huge percentage of people have no issue buying used goods and with various comments from people who have used this store and received a new item many will find the discount worth it.

        • I would rather spend a few more dollars over getting a refurb. If I was saving loads then I agree, but a few dollars is crazy imo

@onlinepred: Thanks for letting me know.
As I've said - I and many others have bought this and got a brand new device. At the time it was exactly what I needed for a gift and was the best price available and I've been happy with the purchase. Looking back on the deals it's been about 2 months since this price was available (on a non refurb model mind you) so if someone wants these phones at pretty much the best price they've ever been then this is a good option if you're happy with taking a pretty low risk punt.

@Hinee: How do you know they weren't used at all? Did you dna test? The box was open right? Why did they open the box?

I mean even QC35 II is only $20 more right now and they are brand new.

@onlinepred: What are you trying to achieve from these asinine questions? I'm simply saying if people are happy for a refurb (which I know there are plenty) this is a good option from my first hand experience. No I don't have any idea if they had touched another head, nor do I give a shit. If you want to know why the box was opened email Sony.

I have QC35's and I bought the Sonys for my partner - honestly I am super jealous as IMO they're a better device.

if they are actually brand new or used only once by a sweaty guy.

What they should do is post a pic of the previous owner with each pair so you can choose which pair you want.

Some of them would be much higher than RRP in that case.

@Autonomic: Based on public transport visual sampling of the types of people wearing this model, I don’t think anyone would be willing to pay a premium.

Thanks for the post. No way id pay $320 for a refurb though.

Sony refurbs are actually not used products. Most of them are damaged packaging/new returns that they cannot sell as brand new in store.

    • A previous commenter (on refurb deal) mentioned how their pair was damaged (box & product), we had a back and forth and I suggested they probably got the one which took the hit when they fell off the pallet (or pallet was rammed with forklift).
So yes in this scenario a bunch of stock falls to the ground, and any boxes with cosmetic damage / opened boxes would be designated as refurb (a box with cosmetic damage will be difficult to present as brand-new).
Refurbished is just a description of condition and it’s possible that they have never touched a person.
It could even be a manufacturer selling new-stock at discount with reduced warranty loophole.
      Just my thoughts.

Id never pay this price for refurb

These had some microphone issues in early days so make sure you test yours. Also many regrets paying full RRP for these back in the day…(ie 6 months ago)

  • Bose QuietComfort 35 II $353 ($317.70 for eBay Plus)

    In 5 days, code: PLUSWINTER

  • bought one and just had it delivered.
They do look like they've been out of the box,and handled before however the earpieces look brand new.
Either way doesn't matter….. I've got an autoclave here at work and will sterilise them. 134C for 4 minutes should decontaminate adequately

  • Historically the cheapest from a store was $318.40 with Ebay code from AA. Managed to grab one for wife. She loves them, but now she gets me back as she can't hear a word I say and I start talking to myself the first few seconds before I can get her attention. Its a waiting game. Work colleague wants, but so now on the look out for him. I'm waiting on the Xm4 or 5 as I have the Xm2. That one is still great. but the NC is much improved on the 3s.

For refurb not so great unless they specifically say box damage. First release of Xm3s had a few issues I believe. The late 2018 release dates. Also there were some crackling sound issues some had. These may be fixed ones of those re sealed up.

  • Can I claim TRS for this?

    • You can. If your question was along the lines of "these are refurbs, so technically are used rather than new, can I still claim", then still yes; TRS does not specify that goods be new, only that you have an original tax invoice.

For this specific deal though, if you haven't purchased already then you are too late as they are OOS.

      • Thks a lot. Just curious abt it. So technically all the eBay stores can produce an original tax invoice?
