Awesome deal op!

My dream is to play this in VR.

Could some people offer me some advice, help for a noob?

How's online multiplayer?
I take it I'd need all the DLC, as that's what everyone is playing online?
Looking at Arma 3 and Apex edition, the Apex edition is essentially Arma 3 + DLC Bundle 1 and the following bonus stuff 'digital versions of the Soundtrack, Maps, Arma 3 Tactical Guide and a gift copy of Arma: Cold War Assault.'

Ok how I'm seeing it is I have two options to play with everyone online:
1. Base game is $15.28 + DLC Bundle 1 $ 9.84 + DLC Bundle 2 $25.16 = $50.28
2. Apex edition 33.98 + DLC Bundle 2 $25.16 = $59.14

  It's unlikely that you will be able to play with VR in multiplayer since the engine and multiplayer don't mix well. You probably won't get enough FPS to work well with VR.
  DLC depends on the server for Apex and the new German DLC, if they're running maps from them then you will need it.
  As for DLC that isn't map-related, you don't need it unless the server forces use of DLC assets, which is a bit of a dick move.
