  • Hey OP, I called to return the Shiraz I ordered and was told I’d get a call back but haven’t. I just couldn’t fathom ever drinking 12 bottles of it so I’d rather it not take up space at my house

    • Skye Cellars seem to sell a different Shiraz bargain deal every week, and its a unicorn type of magical when it's advertised as the Best Shiraz deal they have sold. Hit and miss with their specials imho

      • Lol, yea..the RRP is also inflated often..

  • +2

To be fair, I've ordered several wines from Skye, even visited their premises on one occasion, where I was first introduced to this Georgia sparkling shiraz.

IMHO is an excellent drop at a very decent price.
Chilled and with the bubbles also seems to make it much more palatable to those that are not regular red wine drinkers. Have introduced it to many non-red drinkers and all have been pleasantly surprised.

Ordered a case from them recently with 6 x sparkling merlot and 6 of this Georgia sparkling shiraz, and this shiraz remains my preference for the sparkling red style.

Agreed about the RRP, but think you'd be hard pressed these days to find any consumer goods that didn't use RRP as a marketing ploy, rather than a true reflection of the street price.

For my wine needs though, I find the value from Skye and Geoff Hardy Tractor Shed when on sale (and frequently with free delivery) to be some of the best available online.

Have no affiliations, just a satisfied customer :-).
